Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
I bought 2 editors from Europe. (Zeiss Moviscops) The only issue with them is they are 220v. They only had 2 wires in the 220v plug, so I thought it would a simple thing to exchange the plug to USA style. While they did light up, the bulb only gives off half the light it should and picture is hardly visible. Any advice on how to make them brighter? Thanks Edited January 9, 2018 by Daniel D. Mark Dunn
Many editors were made for worldwide sale so it may have adjustable taps for 110V- there may be a plug on the casing. Just switch it over to 110V. Or you could just do a search of the forum http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=7735 Edited January 9, 2018 by Mark Dunn
Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
No adjustments on old plug but will look at previous discussion. Thanks!
Gregg MacPherson
The bulb is only getting half its designed voltage, so it will run at half the Watts, hence brightness. Solutions might be to source 110V bulbs, hopefully the easy solution, or a small transformer with 220/240V output. Make sure there isn't a 240/110V switch somehere on the machine first.
