Bell and Howell Filmo Auto 8

I just bought this camera and noticed it has a film compartment unlike regular 8mm holders. Am I mistaken? Does it take regular 8mm film spools?

No.

It takes a reloadable magazine.

Unless you can find the right one, and work out how to load it, you may be better off with a standard spool-type camera.

Nice looking, though.

If you were really keen you could buy an old magazine cartridge like this:

and load fresh film into it, but I think it would be much simpler to buy a spool load 8mm camera.
