Cale Boys
I've just purchased an Arri SR3 and I'm looking at which monitor is best to use. I've read a TVLogic VFM-056WP Monitor is the go to?
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted January 22, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted January 22, 2020 I use the older style Transvideo monitors because they're cheap to buy used and since you don't need HD, then why pay for that extra tech? The Rainbow II monitors are pretty decent.
Cale Boys
Yeah fair enough, are HD monitors unless on an SR3?
Felipe Larrondo
Hey Cale, I usually like to go with the small HD DP6 or DP7. They are cheap monitors yet sharp, and have composite signal input. If you get a composite to BNC adapter you can hook into the green composite on the monitor and get SD video signal. This will also work with some TV logic that have the composite inputs as well. https://storefront.brackemfg.com/storefrontCommerce/itemDetail.do?item-id=9337&order-quantity=1&item-index=0&customer-item=BM50366&order-uom=EA&warehouse-id=1&item-number=BM50366&customLen=&gclid=CjwKCAiAgqDxBRBTEiwA59eENxCkhXEjBIH7qmqITLkMgd34zYdtNHuQe2GsstsAbEYouHjW19J8WxoCd3kQAvD_BwE

Not useless, just double the cost of what you need to be paying. Only a few have composite video on them as well, so that kind limits what you can buy.
