I need something that can go to around 120mm or 150mm any thoughts?

Would it be possible to somehow adapt this lens to an M42 mount for my K-3?? 6mm sounds awsome. I need something really really wide.

And as for showing you my stuff, I only have a few short edits I threw together for practice, nothing serious. This summer I will be finishing production of my first movie, State of Transition. It will be played at a film festival and hopefully out the door by fall. I could show you some of that when the time comes if you wish. But next season is going to be crazy. I will start production on a movie called The Anatomy of an Inpired Mind (working title). Its about the way life is seen through the eyes of a cinematographer and other skiers who have a tru passion for the sport. Its gonna be tough filming it though because I just got a call from a film production company and they want me to be in their movie, so I have to balance being in a movie and shooting my own. Sorry for the run on explanation. I do that sometimes Thank you for your time.

yes you guys are right. I was just putting it out there, as in, IF it matches the story line, these could help. And just randomly flashing things isn't what I was really talking about. I was getting more at The Ring style, cause that's the only movie that's actually scared me, like when they find that dead chick in the closet. anyway the story DOES matter most, I totally agree with you dudes.

wow im 15 also and I thought I was the only person my age into 16mm! I have a K-3 and I love it. Its a good, cheap, solid 16mm cam thats perfect for beginning.

is the Mir 12.5 a bayo or M42? also is that the measurement after taking into consideration the 2:1 blowup scale of 35mm lenses?

Wouldn't 25p be better? It would be barley distinguishable from 24p but if anything wouldn't it be slower?

aah I wish I had a DVX.....they cost just a little more than GL2s now, don't they? I would sell it but I heard you can only get roughly $1,000 for good GL2s with I think is unfair because I haven't had this cam long, and its in perfect condition and I payed more than double that when I bought it not even a year ago.

I have never shot a horror but this is what I would do if I shot one: give the shots a greenish tint, so it looks more grimy high contrast add flash frames of grotesque images, and add a disturbing sound effect every time one is flashed, like a quick, raspy sigh or something. make people's skin color more pale. more desceased. shoot with over exposed items in foreground (ie. doll sitting on bookshelf in foreground, actor in backround. Im probably way off target, as I am but a 14 year kid who has only been doing this for a year, but thats what I imagine would give a horror flick a creepy cinematic theme.

I am shooting a movie on a GL2 and It is going to be shown at a film festival. What are the best settings to export my movie under? If it helps Im using a Final Cut Studio setup so I have all that stuff at my dispose. Also, when I export my movie for quicktime uncompressed, the movie looks blocky and the diagonals have zig zag lines. How do I export to quicktime, uncompressed, so that it looks as good as it does in the FCP preview? I want it to look good on DVD, not blocky.

Yeah I have a GL2 and I love it. Theres only a few things I don't like about it. Small size: its too light. I wish it were heavy. No 24p: I like 24p more than anything. crappy viewfinder: it has a low resi image and when I point the camera up, it goes out of focus because a piece of glass is loose in it. other than that I have gotten some amazing results with it.

fillmmmm burn. They look tight.

Does anyone know where I can BUY some rear glass ND filters for it? I've heard about DIY ones but I have no idea how to do that either.
