  1. Now Scott.. that is one of the most ignorant statements you have made thus far... (I am leaving you room for another)... you obviously have not viewed any of the footage showing the massive crowd shots of people from all races, creeds, religions.. etc etc.. or the angry Democrats! You're unbelievable... literally!
  2. Talk about reverse engineering  ...maybe.. it just could be Scott... that the veil is being lifted and the American people are now seeing the truth about our President (as evidenced by the mass of people who marched on Washington) and they are calling him on his moves?... Maybe? The unfortunate part is that these folks simply move below the surface (where they are even harder to detect). btw.. if you don't think Obama is a radical left winger... well, I don't know what to say. Keep the blinders on Scott  Who will be #4?
  3. Film Lighting ... this will tell you most everything you need to know.
  4. ...what you really want is a Norris Intervalometer and 5 inch Capping Shutter. ;)
  5. One good reason is that if you use the hard side (male) side on you Filter Labels etc... you can easily stick them to the soft fabric on many dollies (e.g Fishers).... while they are on stand by.. or during changes.
  6. Not sure about male/ female... I use the soft side on my Mattebox...
  7. Assuming the Color Chart/ Gray Scale was exposed properly, that is indeed a horrible transfer!.. and what you are seeing goes WAY beyond one little floro...
  8. Did you shoot a Color Chart/ Gray Scale at the head of the roll?
  9. Get the Book!... it can save you a tremendous amount of experimenting... and actually make (any) experimenting, worthwhile.
  10. National Endowment of the Arts President Yosi Sergant steps down... 1. Van Jones 2. Sergant 3. Next?!
  11. There are numerous counterpoints I (have) presented in this thread.... being that I am 'working' I really don't have the time (nor energy) to go on and on in a detailed healthcare debate... esp.. on a Cinematography website. I have gone far enough. Karl, get off the Boards and go get a job in the industry you love!!!! You will do great!
  12. Nice Work Serge! ;) Love the selective desaturation!
  13. mmmm. I've read, considered.. but in the end, I prefer reality.... as distasteful as it is.
  14. .. yah.. especially when health care is rationed as it inevitably will be... unfortunately, it may (your) story that is ended... and all to soon. I pray not!
  15. Simona, it does not matter if it is Penguins or Talent.. you have to learn to Light (for) your Talent and allow them to 'walk into it'... that is the unfortunate part of our Business. You won't always have a patient Talent or (animal  ) that will hit their marks and pose for (your) Lighting... many times you just have to Light air!... then bring the Talent in and roll. ..and that does not mean you (may) not get your BEST Images.. often you will !!! :D FILM LIGHTING
  16. Glad to see you opening your iris to what is happening here is the USA!..... Tho I disagree with your conclusion :P Have a great day Richard. Hope the cut is going well!!!

  18. John, You (may) want to actually read a thread before responding. Per your high praises, I tried Vivid 160 and my impression has been noted above  . The subject (for me) has moved onto S16 Velvia. ..and in another related thread I said I prefer 7217 to Vivid 160 in S16... But, good to see you! What have you been up to?
  19. Thanks Serge! I (personally) need to see it in action... I'll wait for a Project I can take more chances with and order up some rolls. Then post an exposure question.. unless anyone has any advice now? Would love to see some Spots shot with it (Velvia). ... of course somewhere I probably have a demo DVD from Fuji
  20. I need to shoot more 7285 that's for sure.... Super Stock! I was hoping someone had something posted on their site or somewhere showing Velvia S16 in action. I am interested in trying it if I see something I like....
  21. This is true of 211, 212 & 213s... about 3 hours of life expectancy... :( ....but they do a GREAT JOB!
  22. Per the rules of this Forum, please do not double post. It only wastes the Members' time.
