  1. What is the point of this link to an abandoned motel franchaise in the USA?
  2. There is a reason to this: "If it ain't broken don't fix it" Why on earth ship it around for no reason at all? Your attitude and easily offered money makes you easy prey for con-operations like painted here. Ritter is under German law and you better find legal help (there). Consumer protection in German is far more strict than in many other countries.
  3. Cotto had dies and punchers. It was all abandoned at a whimp. Wittner is slimming down considerablly. I would estimate they will not be perforating much after they reopen (if at all). May be there wil be sell off after they eject the lot or after they seize at all.
  4. Remotecontrols of those days usually are 2.5mm And indeed the Canon suitable remote can be used on the 6008 :)
  5. Kodak Ektachrome 100D Double Super-8 DS-8 122 meter / 400 feet Kodak Ektachrome 100D Double Super-8 16/8 2R 122 meter / 400 feet Kodak 7285 CAT 186 1681 One metal can, never opened, from cooled storage. NOT homebrew DIY. Kodak original perforation in Kodak packaging. Bought it for a project from USA, self imported. It is now in Europe. Save on duties while it is here. This can never made it into the project and I don't expect any use in the short or long term. Nice to expose in DS-8 camera like Elmo Filmatic of Canon Scoopic for maximum sharpness or slit it into two strands and use these to fill 16 pieces of loadable Super-8 cartridges. Over 50 minutes of running time at 18fps! You can have it easily have it processes at any ciné lab which does E-6 Now selling it at USD $790 or EURO equivalent I have images of the offered can, the website is very limited on storage. IBAN banking preferred Paypal available at +3% I have an over 700 eBay positive feedback Rolls of 400ft of single strand meterware Super-8 was offered at Euro 400 http://www.filmvorfu...ektachrome +400 And sold out quickly... No to forget the USA based 20 cartridge cases at $1900 or 2 cartridges at $170 Excerpts from Kodak Datasheet https://www.super8.nl/file/7285.pdf TECHNICAL DATA / COLOR REVERSAL FILM KODAK EKTACHROME 100D Color Reversal Film 5285 / 7285 is a 100-speed, high-color reversal motion picture camera film intended for photography under daylight illumination (5500K). It offers strikingly saturated color performance while maintaining a neutral gray scale and accurate flesh reproduction. 5285/7285 Film has exceptional sharpness that is unsurpassed by any other 100-sp eed reversal film, and its grain performance is excellent. This film also offers very strong reciprocity uniformity and keeping stability. This film offers outstanding results in outdoor and studio applications where strong color saturation is desired. It is excellent for advertising, nature cinematography, documentaries, music videos, and is especially good for telecine transfers and television filming. BASE Acetate safety base. EXPOSURE INDEXES Daylight (5500K): 100 Tu n g s t e n ( 3 2 0 0 K ) : 25 (with 80A filter) Use these indexes with incident- or reflected-light exposure meters and cameras marked for ISO or ASA speeds or exposure indexes. These indexes apply for meter readings of average subjects made from the camera position or for readings ma de from a gray card of 18-percent reflectance held close to and in front of the subject. For unusually light- or dark-colored subjects, decrease or increase the exposure indicated by the meter accordingly.
  6. https://twitter.com/Kodak_ShootFilm/status/887730524743249931 Barely recognizable... Canon 1014-xls being used for a pro shoot. It seem it is fitted inside a carrycase which goes onto the tripod in all and is opened for filming.
  7. When the door is open there is no contact to the batteries... You would have to run it from a external powersupply. Or put a lightsource in the filmchamber, run the camera and check the light flickering from the front, through the lens or take that off and just look at the bare shutter .
  8. How are things progressing with finding a camera to fit this special lens?
  9. I have sold some Kodachrome DS-8 boxes to a collector to use as a showpiece along with a camera. Nobody in his right mind should purchase these to expose and have them processed only into a faint sepia image. Rescue film lives off found cartridges 30 years or more old which people want processed at a premium just to see if there is any family on it or if they themselves are on it, possibly as a toddler.
  10. There is one truely lightweight from Rollei (Japan OEM). The Canon AF310XL is super light for travel and the lens is 1.0! AF works nicely but only at the start of a shot. It is 1980 or such :) The Eumig compact are compact but heavy as they are fully brass.
  11. Indeed nice camera's and underappreciated. There is nothing awkward to them. It is just clever design to develop the forehead support option. Like on the Leicina Special, Fujica ZC-1000, Minolta autopak D-10 and possibly others. The grip folds back for compactness during transportation and easy mouting on a tripod. The only thing might be that the grip is somewhat square when holding it. The Super and RT-1 connect to the external controller too for maximum serious filming.
  12. Lightweight is no longer a requirement? Just check parallaxe.nl and see what he has got in stock. Shop has moved so mind the address and times
  13. You will be needing some 1000 paying subscribers when operational? These backers are to get things going? Makes one wonder how things got to work in paper age. A publisher would just go about and risk his own money. Just like with books...
  14. Now on some 15%. Not bad considering the small audience. Just these forums aren't going to hack it. They have an air of worlddominance but in real-life it is slightly less. Here you have some 250 unique viewers, others far less. As mentioned in some discussion about filmsales in North-America there must be a considerable group (99% :) )who aren't on fora. Best were to get a mention from Kodak or Spectra and pro8mm. Find emaillists from the former Smallformat publisher, Super8 today and who more. Try Fotoimpex who produce ADOX S8 Does google index kickstarter?
  15. Hello Jürgen, The mail went out this morning, according to the stats half of the 800 have openend mail by now and 10 clicked your kickstart link. A few, but of course it is photo club :) Regards Andries
  16. I'll be writing for a newsletter to 800 members of a EU based photoclub which has a ciné audience too. Possibly I could slip in a referal to this thead or the kickstarter page. There is no official website yet I assume?
  17. Last call for our Hilversum Fotografica show :) We are booked out. All stalls sold! 500+ meters of Ciné-Photo-equipment or goods. General major newspaper is picking up on our Show with a Polaroid article and a show recommendation.
  18. Considering the superbe features (claimed by the owners) something should have come from one of these :)
  19. Fotografica fair foire beurs Börse for the 79th time. 500+ metre of stalls, 1000+ visitors expected (i.e. numbers of 2016 and improved upon) As always with a number of stall holders with ciné related goods like plenty Super-8 cameras or projectiongear. Supplies et cetera. This time again Video van Eck from Tilburg, Netherlands present. Bookings are doing very well (per 21st february), would you like to participate as trader or for exposition do not hesitate any further to make your reservations. Information page (in Dutch), email or telephone correspondance in English, German, Dutch, French email: beursorganisatie@fotografica.nl http://fotografica.nl/ Arrive by train (internationally well-connected) at Hilversum Sportpark. Less than 5 minute walk from Dudok Arena, Arena 303 te Hilversum (google map preset). Plenty parking space and free on a sunday!
  20. Including tax only $30 per minute... Where have the times gone of a cartridge Kodachrome incl processing at $3 (bargain) and return shipping :) http://www.retroroadtrips.com/ RetroRoadTrips - the Super 8 film diary of Elliott Bristow
  21. Take off the lens and directly inspect the mirror visually (screw out the trigger button assembly and then screw off the lens) don't touch the mirror as it is surface metalized. Looking sideways at an angle you can also check the groundglass. Swing it in and out.
  22. On its way back from Bernie I suppose. Just use it for while and see how things work out. It would ridiculous to send it for two maintenance jobs and not use it in between.
  23. It is possible to switch on the lightmeter throught the DIN connection at the rear of camera.
  24. That was very wise :) I would almost assume the Bernie in USA job was cleared against what otherwise would soley be spent on shipping in and out to Reindeerland :)
