    Arri 2c grease

Has anyone got any Arri grease that I can buy from them?
  7. I read sometime ago that they used to mount say, three flashbulbs on a board and set them off at the same time...of course they would burn at infitesimely different times/rates and this was enough to register the flash on film cameras...as a flash could conceveably go off when the shutter was closed and not register.
  8. I've shot some stuff that literally would not have been possible, or never would have been done in the 2-3 days we had to shoot if we shot film. ...how come.

  10. You've put an incredible amount of work into the film and well done for that...it's the only way to make films! Nice that it's a complete story too...so many shorts seem to be like a clip from something bigger, one observation though...and it's an observation not a criticism... I wonder how much better the atmosphere of your film would have been if it had been shot on film ( 16mm or even 8mm )...for a semi horror flick the footage from the dslr seems very clean and sharp...or it may be that it was shot in bright daylight. I always expect things lurking in the shadows in suspense and horror. As I said my own observations, not a criticism. Keep up the hard work...
  11. Does anyone know of any truly packable lights. I'm after 2 portable 500watt lamps that have folding refectors ( a bit like the old flashgun reflectors of the 1950s) so they fit easily into luggage for travelling abroad. Any ideas?
  12. Hi Nigel, It may be worth re-posting with a new title...the title you have may suggest the usual arguing between film and red, and what you are presenting is a new system and discussion. best rob
  13. Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. Looks like its technically out of my area to achieve it...we'll probably have to get it professionally finished...any ideas on any Uk companies that are not too expensive?
  14. Hi I'm having to do my own audio mastering for a festival ( because of no funds ) and it will be shown on cinema screens...Dolby Sterio is needed. Can anyone tell me if I need to compress the track and if so which method is best. Im using Soundtrack Pro. cheers.

  18. Hi Arick Nice work! although I have to say the explosion effect slightly lets the great quality of the rest of the film down. great stuff though and well done.
  19. Well P and S seem to think there is a market.
  20. Hi Martin, didn't think you would be getting rid of super 16 , thought you were a film man !
  21. you'll find it on this page http://www.intervalometers.com/resource/manuals.php
  22. You can easily grease the arri 2 yourself. your best bet is to download the arri2 repair and parts manual...you'll have to google for the source.
