Hi Brian, I'm trying to buy another 400ft mag, the guy thinks its a BL2 mag, but he's not sure. So I'm trying to find out if we can identify it. ( I need one for a BL4)

Does anyone know the actual mechanical difference between the early and late 35 BL magazines and why they wont fit all models.

I've a pulnix colour tap on my aaton which is ok for framing etc, but since working with an arri with IVS (which is amazing) it all seems a little old fashioned. The IVS obviously has a load of features I don't need on a BL4...but I would like a tap with the best clarity possible. As you say there may be a simple HD stick camera out there that could be adapted.

I use non converted mags all of the time with no problems at all.

I'm building my own SI2K camera rig, does anyone know if anyone in the UK can shorten HDMI cables for me ie cut a cable and re fit a new plug on the end. I need very specific short cable lengths for the project. many thanks

Hi, Does anyone have experience of using a mac mini with a SI 2K mini. I have a 2.66 intel core 2 duo, nvidea geforce 320m card, 4 gig ram, 2x 500 gig hard drives ( it's a server version). Model nuimber A1347. Gigabit ethernet. I've loaded windows XP sp3 via bootcamp on snow leopard, which is working fine. I then loaded the DVR software 1.1. and it just wont open...I've also tried DVR version 2 and the same happens. Anyone any ideas?

Absolutely. les bosher told me that aaton got round the problem by fitting the tension screw to the eyepiece. that did it apparently.

Even more ridiculous things have happened...like the time arri took aaton to court over a swivelling eyepiece.
