  1. I have the Arri/Angenieux lens support, it’s great because even if not using the zoom you can mount the camera on any tripod without the flat base or the Hi-Hat.
  2. BTW: what type of side handgrip is the one in the pic? Is it originally for the Arri 2C? thanks for any infos on that
  3. Seems it has been sold recently but try to ask http://www.cinemagear.com/accessories.html#video_taps
  4. ARGHHHH!! A Fellini door! That's very rare, there is one for sale at the moment, costing more than my ARRI Techniscope camera..
  5. Hello, thanks for your message, how much is your request? thanks G.
  6. Hello, as for the title I'm looking for a good Arri Standard Schneider lens for my Arri 35 Techniscope camera, don't like to buy on Ebay so if anyone has a good one for sale please let me know, I'm buying in EC only. Thanks Giorgio
  7. Here my totally rebuilt Arri 35II 2 perf Techniscope camera ready to show us hairs in the gate! ?
  8. Hello guys, I have just received my 2 perf Techniscope camera and I was lucky to find a special base to mount the camera on tripod without the Hi-Hat Arri base, I prefer this type even if not light just because I don't need to detach the motor as for the classic Cine 60 flat base etc.. That's the base to mount the camera with the Angenieux 20-200 or 25-250 zoom as it has the lens support attachment for these heavy lenses. As I want to mount my Vocas matte box I need the 15mm support with the old Arri dovetail slide mount as for the pic of the base below, the only I've found is from US and not cheap but with postage taxes and duties I will end to pay about 300 USD for that, so I'm looking for a cheap option. On the other pic I've found what I need but for the 19 mm rods that I don't have, so anyone in EC has one of the vintage Arri/Angenieux original dovetail plate for sale or knows where I can find a cheap Chinese one with the right dovetail slide for 15mm rods? Thanks for your help. Giorgio
  9. Your second way would be good and safe ?
  10. Thanks Aapo, I was thinking so but seeing the risk to damage the film and the cost of developing and scan I would pass on this method, it's too risky to me, try to find something more secure.
  11. Hello guys, finally I have received my new Arri II Techniscope camera and I want to use it as soon as possible to check it, sorry for the stupid question but I've only experience in 16mm format so... I have a lot of 400ft film but I would like to try the smaller and lighter 200ft Arri magazine, as I have not 35mm rewinders and split reels, what's the best method to spool down 200ft from a 400ft core to use the magazine? I was thinking to use a 400ft Arri magazines as a rewinder, loading the 400 ft core on the feed side and spooling half the core on the take up side, but as you know you can't put a core on take up side of the the 400ft magazine, so I will end with a 200ft on feed side, good and ready to film and a 200ft on the take up side that I need to release from the magazine without a core, if I put a core it would be too large to use as it is, so.. can't find an easy way to do it, any advice? Here a pic of my new Arri 2 perf Techniscope camera, totally rebuilt and ready to shoot.

  20. That's the best solution I've found for the Eclair ACL needing external battery solution: 353-proaim-brick-external-battery-for-blackmagic-pocket-camera-p-brk-bmpc.html I've used it also on the Aaton Minima and it works perfectly, you just need a pair of little rods to mount it under the base, it's light. Giorgio
  21. Angenieux 15-150 is a true S16 lens with full coverage, it's much sharper than 12-120 and a lot more expensive, great lens.
