Ishan, first, sorry for not calling later I was in BIg Sur for 3 day no reception, 2º) Adam's Idea is bad at all, but I do understand that where you live is practicly imposible to do rent, so I will propose you this I just got my NPR modifid to Super 16 and PL mount, if you want you can come down to Berkeley, you can rent some lenses at a few friends studios and you can do your test over here, and if you need a place to stay welll I guess you can stay in my place for a couple of days. Guys , I have to stop and say, Thanks even do I keep doing my own stuff is always really nice to count with you fellas, Mike I used the Cooke and I was really close of buying it, but a bunch of illnesses stop it, I want so many lenses you guys have no idea, but I also want weird lenses, with great distinctive looks and shapes. You see I'm a director, first and for most and I always looking for different things to work with I love to mix old and new glass create more visual stimulations, shapes contrats and so forth again I thank you guys for the advice, it's well taken I will included on my research Keep it coming!

Mike, Thanks for the advice, trust that's what I want to, but for the mean time I will like to use the camera and shoot a bunch of projects, rather say, experiment with diferent looks, Yes will I want a set Optar Illumina's , off course, a Canon 8-64, you bet, this cheap lens is for the mean time. I would love to know what are your all time favorite lenses that you will like to have both primes and zooms. Best

Thanks Alain , I know he did a great Job the cam doesn't leave my site , ever I love it, right know I'm working on a custom handle from the side of the NPR something that it would hold it much better do you have any ideas? 2) do you remember how many mags I can go trough with those little batteries that you sold me with the cam? and how many for the big one?

Yeah me to, but that npr for 900 bucks is a steal, that's a great price, and it even comes with an Angie finder? I want to start an Eclair Website again since that guy from the NPR website totally retire or something , it could be really nice to see an army of people showing their cams on the web and their new inventions for it. Dude great work 2 things beside what the other guys said 1) the first 2 shots don't much compositionally, separate they are pretty great, but it seems than together you don't need the first one, they are telling the same thing (is raining now) 2) This a personal thing I like more contrasty images, more sharp, and the colours more vibrant, but for what you have already I think is great. I agree with other guys about the acting, I think the girl need it a better objective to slap the guy and to say her lines the same with the guys reactions, but whatever you have it already and the final product looks great

Can we please be done with Ultra 16 until more Technology can back up the experiment, this sounds like a Red Thread, I'm not a fan of saying this , but go look in the archives, plenty of ULtra 16 Sorry but the over questioning bothers me a little bit

Yeap Les told me the same thing for the NPR and the ACL, some technicians do change them you should talk to the tech that will do the conversion, but I take the word of Les Bosher he knows what he is doing Best If you want to see the end result check the pics on the previous thread that I posted about the NPR that les just converted

Hey guys thanks for the words, I'm really happy myself, the cam runs great to I tested yesterday with that old ektachrome stock , welll is a dummy stock and you can really hear the camera is not that loud I did bought a barney for the cam just in case, I know I'm going to need it One thing for sure it is heavy, but it will force me to buff up hehe , I just come back from the street where I was trying the 3 Canon lenses that I have left ( the rest where stolen from a friend 12 of them, so pretty pissed from that but encourage to save and buy a set of Optar Illumina for my Pl mount, So to save again. I have a great story ready to shoot once I'm done with my feature doc after this summer, so I will give you updates as when that comes Thanks everyone for the advice with xlr4 I will be sending Tim a check for 75 bucks right away! Hellos Fellas well here we go, after a month and a half of waiting my NPR got here from Les Bosher's Lab in S Wales. So first the camera looks great the conversions are amazing and the Pl mount is perfect , but I would let your question after the pictures talk 3 things before we start a) the viewfinder is chipped, no worries is an easy fix, it came like that and the seller warn me about that b ) One of the things that I didn't like about Les's conversion is how thin the new 1.85.1 marking is, in the day no problem, at night a serius bitch, but no worries again, Bernie I'm sending you the cam in a few months so you can do your magic with the LaserBritghen. c) The plug of for the 4 pin xlr entrance got bend during the shipment, I wrote to Les about it but no response yet, my main concern is getting the part, I can fix it myself, any suggestions There we go with the pics ( this my company's Flickr account http://www.flickr.com/photos/18373832@N00/?saved=1 Check em out and tell me what you think, there is also pictures from old shoot, I hope you don't mind them BEst

Dude get a K-3 Russian camera this things are great little warriors Check them out in eBay , or you can ask OLex here , but this little camera is a great little tool and it will be great for your skate videos Best

Hahaha, I know we where talking about that Ultra 16 Tim, Thanks anyway, For some reason the closeness of the name with Arri new lenses it really confuse me Thanks for the clarifications, and Tim I will postiong some pictures soon about my new Baby Best

My point in Ultra 16 is to ask those people that started the whole trend and rummors = Arri I have seen their new lenses and I was really exited for it , but , why start and invest with something like that if you don't have a complete workflow I might be wrong about this, please feel free to correct me Best
