  1. They vary depending on condition and the reputation of the seller. They currently seem to be going between $500 - $1,200 on ebay.
  2. Well I guess you would know : ) Thanks for the straight answer. Appreciated,
  3. Can this sync unit be used with a Beaulieu R-16? The unit in question comes with a Synchro pilote Beaulieu 60hz. made in France Tobin TXM 27
  4. I love the tonality of your b/w. Did you play with any levels in camera or in post to acheive this?
  5. I'm at a loss as to where to pick up one of the Manual Diaphragm Adapters that was mentioned. Anyone?

  7. Thanks for the feedback. I'll stick to my Canons.
  8. What are the odds that this lens could be compatible with a Beaulieu R16 C mount? Do TV lenses and CCTV lenses cover 16mm?
  9. I have seen it. I thought it'd be fun to reach back to when this style was still new. I know I couldn't pull it off from an operator's pov. I'm not that fluid on skates. I think it also emphasizes substance over style which is oft neglected. It's refreshing to watch something shot on Hi8 when everyone's debating RED.
  10. Don't know if he gets lauded for his talent as an innovative camera operator.
  11. I'm viewing this on a mac linked to a Dell Ultrasharp monitor, black level looked like they hovered around 7.5 IRE to me, reminded me of "Zodiac", so I think, though they weren't zero black, they looked great. Make sense? Plus I love the mixed color temps.
  12. Good work, continue to work on the craft. Seems like you had a limited lens selection (was there more than one lens?) which, in the no budget world can be forgiven. The stairwell seemed to have overlapping shadows indicating multiple light sources, but again, not bad. The only question I would ask myself is "did I take advantage of the benefits of shooting 35mm?" So tell us, what camera, what lens, what film stock, who processed, transferred down to which medium, etc...
  13. That's a pretty interesting option. Mind if I ask what that set you back?
  14. Can I assume much of what has been stated about C mount to Canon FD lenses holds true of the Beaulieu R-16 as well?

    Nizo 481

Anyone now what the diameter of the lens on a Nizo 481 (non-macro version) is? Wondering what size filter would fit on the front. I'm curious if anyone's used the Schneider ultrawide angle adapter type II on this camera and if they found it worth it.
  16. Oh, can you tell us where you got your gate widened? Thanks.
  17. I was actually referencing the 8th edition last night. I don't go to it often but glad it's there when I need it. Valuable resource.
  18. Well done. I think it's a nice showcase of your directing skills and the actor's performances. Few director's have the confidence to let a scene play in it's entirety without resorting to a cutaway. I enjoyed the sense of paranoia and claustrophobia. Makes a nice little thriller, made me want to see more. This would be a great opening to a dark feature. Keep it going.
  19. Has anyone had a camera serviced at ijmincorporated? Looking for feedback. Thanks.
  20. Does anyone know if CFI has been fully integrated into Technicolor or have they been able to maintain their independence? I used them a few times a few years ago and was blown away by the work there.
  21. Alain, Do you have any pic's of your rig? Feel free to send them to me directly if you wish. Thanks, Bill
  22. This link led me to the following: "A global leader in pharmaceutical innovation" I contacted SPECTRA in North Hollywood.
