Frame rate depends on your market. 24 is more traditionally film-like, 60 is more the TV sports/soap opera look. 24 can be sold worldwide with easy conversions, 30 and 60 are limited to the former NTSC countries, and 50 to the PAL/SECAM countries. 25 can be used interchangeably with 24, with a little pitch correction and a 4% change in running time. -- J.S. You might as well try to shoot Super Panavision. Ain't gonna happen with that much. He could try a DSLR like the Canon T2i Rebel, now that the T3i is out, it's probably in his price range. Hardly anything does 1080p/60, until you get into really high prices. There's almost no market for it, its main use is to create slow motion for 24 or 25 fps projects. Before you commit to doing something that way, it would be a very good idea to see if you can borrow some gear and do tests. Look at the tests, and decide if 60 fps is really worth it for your project. The other thing to think about is, how are you going to show this at 60p? -- J.S. Patrick Shelton Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Why are you so committed to 1080? to get the look your going for you might want to increase your shutter so you get that "hyper realistic" look.
