Frank Hegyi
Do you think this goes too fast? I did it with the music, but it might be too chaotic. I've watched it too many times to tell for myself. Thanks!
Max Field
It's just a reel so I'm not sure if it matters. We live in the age of a pause button so it matters even less.

Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted September 6, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted September 6, 2018 Worthless to me, I can’t stand such stuff like from an automatic slide projector gone mad. It’s also disrespectful towards the people who worked on the light, with the camera, everything. What is it supposed to provoke with me? I don’t know. Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted September 6, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted September 6, 2018 It's not a bad reel, but it doesn't really show me that you can put together a scene. For me, a DP reel shouldn't be a bunch of pretty shots, but actual scenes to show continuity in lighting and an overall feel. This is why I sorta gave up doing demo reels a few years ago, it's easier to send people finished products.
Frank Hegyi
I will take these critiques of the cinematography reel as an artistic medium as a sign that I shouldn't overthink it.
