Universal SLR Focus Gear

I know it is rather late for this announcement, but rather latter than never.

I have a promotional price for Jan01/2006 and just about as good for the next two weeks for a universal focus gear. It mounts on virtually ANY SLR lens of any brand. If you plan to have your OWN set of primes to use either on a film camera or the Mini35 image converter, this could be the missing piece of the puzzle for pro work:

They've been working fine for the last 5 months on my lenses. I had them out on rental as well. I shipped out over 50 of them and all people got them working fine and everyone's happy. I ship them out with an instructional DVD. Just follow the procedure and you'll get what I got (and use every day) and no lens will ever get harmed.

They've been working fine for the last 5 months on my lenses.

The pictures on your site show inexpensive lenses -- what about this one: Nikon 28-70 f/2.8, it is $1600.

What has price got to do with it? Or what is the meaning of your question anyway? I thought we were talking diameter of the lenses not what lenses I have them mounted on or how much I paid for them?

I can mount the same gear on any lens regardless the price (and they are all primes BTW)

1.2/55 1.4/50 1.4/35 (OUCH) 1.8/85, 2.8/180 and so on...I am not sure I fully understand your question.

I understood th question, he is worried that lens barrels might get marked. Not an issue with a $100 lens from Ebay, but a MAJOR issue with a lens costing $1000 +

Is this just for the gear?

How much for the whole follow focus system, or do I need to buy that elsewhere?

Dan: Looks like a fantastic set of devices! As a person who uses a lot of 35mm still lenses, however, I have a few questions for you:

As for the gears themselves, can they be installed and then uninstalled rather easily without causing damage and/or permanent markings on the lens barrels? The reason I ask is simple; one of the advantages of owning 35mm still lenses is that still photographers use them as well as videographers and cinematographers. To wit, if I used these gears on my lenses could I take the gears off in case I want to sell a lens to a still photographer who would prefer not to buy a lens with a damaged focusing ring? Secondly, could I buy two or three sets of gears and interchange them among my various lenses in a timely fashion, or do I need a gear for each lens I own?

Scott,

I would not dare offer for sell anything I would not use myself. Those are my lenses and I have been dealing with lenses (of all sorts) for 32 years. They do not damage the focusing ring or the normal functioning of the lens, or they would simply defeat the whole purpose.

Furthermore, increasing the diameter of the lens, they lower the force you have to apply to rotate the ring, easy job for the FF. Here are the latest comments about them from customers who started with one gear and ended up with a few sets of working primes:

Nathan, I will not hide my generosity if anyone here shows some to begin with.

To keep it simple! The first gear is $85 only ($10 less than the rest, just to make them accessible). I send out an instructional DVD. Buy one, mount it on and decide latter.
