Edward Goldner
Hello. I'm about to embark upon my first journey into the realms of 7201 and just wanted to find out whether or not people feel that there is any use over-exposing the stock to reduce grain or whether I should just expose it to 50 ASA since the grain is quite fine anyway. Thanks in advance. Regards, Edward Goldner
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted March 9, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 9, 2009 The grain is certainly quite fine as is, even on 16mm. I'd really not worry about over-exposing it.
David Rakoczy
1/3... maybe.

Hopefully you will share your results with me.
Anthony Schilling
The grain is pretty tight, but I've been shooting my 7201 and other negs about 1/2 stop over just for a little extra density... if thats what you like.
Joshua Reis
It depends on the saturation and contrast you are going for, but I find rating 7201 at 40 asa is a nice sweet spot to start.
