Hi--

I recently picked up a Bolex Anamorphot lens for 8mm. At the time I believed this lens would simple screw onto the end of any Bolex 8mm D-mount lens. Looks like you need a special mounting system. Great.

Are there two different versions of the holder? Will the "holder" work the same on both cams (8 and 16)? Are there other options? I was planning on using the lens (for 8mm) with an adapter on a Rex V for 16.

Thanks!

The 16mm anamorphic projection lens is supported by a home-made ring attached to a rod base I got with another camera (a Pentaflex 8). Same principle can be applied to 16mm cameras.

Martin Baumgarten has a good webpage describing relatively cheap anamorphic lens options for small formats:

Love it!
