kevin jackman
Im sure the price will go beyond my control, but is this one that people would use? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170639774005&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
Chris Burke
yes this is the type of lens people use, but this one is a bit beat up.

Premium Member John Sprung Posted May 13, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted May 13, 2011 For one thing, it's not in any kind of standard mount. -- J.S.
kevin jackman
I could probably get a mount made but the question is, is it the same glass and element arrangement that others are using? Basically Im wondering if it is recognizable. The glass seems fine.
Mark Dunn
I don't know- look here about halfway down http://captjack.exaktaphile.com/Isco%20page.htm If that's it, it suggests it's an objective, not an adapter. Seems it was intended as some sort of trick lens. That example seems to lack the iris. It has a rather small protruding rear element, not the large barrel you'd need to attach to a filter ring. I'm not sure this is an anamorphic adapter at all. I certainly wouldn't gamble much money on it when there are plenty of proper ones on eBay. Premium Member John Sprung Posted May 13, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted May 13, 2011 OK, thing #2: It's just a 50mm. Are you going to shoot a whole show on a 50? Odds on finding the rest of a matching set are nil. -- J.S.

But this is also an attachment. It would have originally came with a 50mm still lens, probably with a Nikon mount. If it covers a 50mm 24x36mm format lens it will cover a16mm 16R lens. The problem is building a bracket for attaching the lens to the camera.
