I met Andrew at the ASC several years ago and he was a lovely, down-to-earth person, very modest for a man of his great talents.

I always loved Andrew's work, he really stood out as one of my favorite DP's.

Horrible, horrible news. I only had the brief pleasure of meeting Andrew once at a recent masterclass he ran for the ACS, but his attitude and approach to cinematography was nothing short of inspiring.

I loved his work on The Fellowship of the Ring and admired his ambition on the Hobbit films, being one of the first to attempt 48 fps. Very sad to see him pass before his time.
