Stephen Baldassarre Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Does anybody recognize this lamp? I'd like to get this ancient little inky working for a future project. It runs directly off of 110VAC. Thanks.
JD Hartman Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) Is that a Times Square fixture? What diameter lens? You'll have to check out the lamp specs, LCL, etc., but I'd think an ESP globe should work. Maybe it's just the image, but one of the contacts in the socket look like toast from arcing. Stephen Baldassarre Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 It's a 3" lens, but I can't say much else about it as I found it in a rubbish heap and there's no discernible markings. It's really old, dark brown, has a cotton jacketed power cable and is made of cast aluminum. Any way, I thought it would be perfect as an on-cam practical light for an upcoming shoot. ESP certainly LOOKs right, but I'll have to take some measurements. Thanks for the tip!
Mark Dunn Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Something like this, can't be much more powerful or it would incinerate itself. http://www.bulbs.com/product/ESP The dimensions and cap type are on that page.
Stephen Baldassarre Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Well the LCL is about 4CM and it DEFINITELY looks like a BA15D base, so it looks like there's a variety of options including a 100-Watt ESR, which I think I'm going to try. Thank you everybody.
