Premium Member Justin Hayward Posted December 8, 2017 Premium Member Posted December 8, 2017 Anybody else notice with all the newfound accessibility to drones that filmmakers seem to be shoehorning drone shots into their independent movies? I cant tell you if an establishing shot of someones house from 200 feet in the air adds production value, but I can tell you its very jarring. So heres the lesson kiddos, just because you have access to a drone doesnt mean you have to use it. ?
Max Field Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Same for GoPros. Tired of seeing them shoehorned into every close-quarters scene.

Premium Member George Ebersole Posted December 10, 2017 Premium Member Posted December 10, 2017 I notice it more on YouTube and Vimeo, not so much on major feature films.

Premium Member Justin Hayward Posted December 10, 2017 Author Premium Member Posted December 10, 2017 I saw what looked like a student film the other day where someone was planting a flower and they covered it with a drone shot. Made me smile.
