I just bought a K-3 with the m42 mount and I was wondering if there were any lenses I should consider. I've noticed the variety of lenses available on ebay is slim and you can't get an adapted to use any other lenses.

There are some fisheyes, 8 and 16mm, I think, but otherwise it's very limited under 24mm. M42 was a stills format.

There's a wide-angle adapter for the Meteor zoom, but the quality won't be brilliant. That would take you down to about 12

Yea the fisheyes look cool, but they are getting pretty expensive

Years ago i shot some very nice images with my K3, i used an asahi pentax super takumar 50mm M42 mount. Look around the net, tons of nice lenses M42 and many old russian ones too.

The original K3 zoom lenses are pretty respectable..

No shortage of longer lenses, of course, but normal and wide angles are a problem. Even the ordinary ones are more expensive now they can be adapted for mirrorless.

Do you have the parts available to replace the M42 mount with a 16SX mount?
