Jakob Webb
I'm most likely getting some Tarpaulin as part of a set because I can get large sizes (which is what we need). I will be shining light through it, but I'm worried that I will loose a lot of light this way because I have never used Tarpaulin as diffusion. Does anyone have any experience with using Tarpaulin as diffusion and is there a diffusion it is similar to / can be compared to ? I want an idea of how much it diffuses / cuts out light. Mark Dunn
What? Tarpaulin is virtually opaque. It's not diffusion, it's a flag.

They come in white too- at least here in the US. I don't know the stop loss but they do diffuse the light quite nicely. Unfortunately no examples but one shoot had a canopy set up with a white tarp and we just used it and shot under it. Been awhile so can't remember much about specs and such. Jakob Webb
@Mark Dunn I meant white Tarpaulin
JB Earl
Was it shade cloth? That’s the kind of mesh that allows a percentage of light to travel straight through without diffusion and blocks the remainder
