  1. Thanks Nathan. I hope it gets used. Anyway, I would work on a soft porn film (one without typical porn vulgarity). Maybe that's just because I'm a 17 year old desparate to prove myself in a film enviroment, or maybe it's because I consider these film to be a celebration of the human form, or how the simple act of reproduction has (to a level) has become an artform in itself. I can just imagine lighting for a soft silouette around the body, with coloured light to convey the emotion of the scene. Wonderful. :) What I wouldn't do is work on a 'jugs, dick, and more jugs' type of film with no storyline, or any sort of artistic or cinematographical merit whatsoever, no matter how desparate I get to prove myself. Such films are absolutely repulisve in my view. Anybody consider ranting about the topic Nathan has warned against please don't. Others are enjoying this thread for it's evolving topic of focus, and the merits of certain types of pornography. Please out of consideration use the thread I made, or even your own one. Just don't get this nice thread shut down. -Best.
  2. At the risk of expressing my own opinion I've made a thread for you two to war in so that others can use this one again. It's in the off topic section, or here. Please use it.
  3. Here you go, Lads. Now leave the others in peace.
  4. Well thank god for that! By the way, Phil. Is your father OK? Is his cancer still in remission?
  5. You cook its film instead of processing it, and the residue left on the plate is your print. You have to scoop it up with a piece of paper.
  6. LOL! It's the poor sod whose job it is to review the 6mp photos that I feel for.
  7. I did more reading on this cam, they're supposed to just be poohed away.
  8. Good one Phil! I do hope these cameras aren't reusable.
  9. Oh! That explains the trouble I had uploading my avatar picture. Thanks. ;)
  10. Obviously I'm serious. Why would I have spent two years on this forum with nearly 2100 posts if cinematography wasn't my whole life's focus? Answer me that. Look at my photostream, they're not great, but I think it takes a certain degree of passion for the job to take those pictures. Or are they unclean because they were taken with a digital camera? Also, I think David's alright. A bit eccentric, but alright. You're just pond life. Sorry everyone. I'm just tying up a few details with Karl Knob.
  11. You can really tell why David and Karl are such friends.
  12. You know, David. I once thought the fact you're only rated one star by your fellow forum users to be a bit harsh, now I see they were right. I'm going to ask a moderator to close this thread. You don't need fuel, mate.
  13. Still, at least it's a guaranteed way of getting a decent roll from them. I might well join, as I'll be the only person subscribing my footage will be famous!
  14. HAHAHA! Best laugh all day! They've got a bloody nerve.
  15. Gosh Tim! I get pains in my wrist from holding a HV30 upright after 20 minutes. Anyway, I was thinking of buying a clapped out ARRI 16S/M as a restoration project. Do you stock spare parts I'll need?
  16. I've got a HV20 version of the picture up for you all now. :)
  17. If I can get more letters I'll do a HV20 version.
  18. Brilliant man. Deserving of all his credit and recognition.

    Good Luck David!

  19. You're lucky. We only have flourescents and horrible sodium vapour lamps where I live.
  20. More photos added. I think HV30 lovers will take a particular fondness to one of them.
  21. Really nice stuff! I liked the use of black and white. Take care!
  22. Looks that you did a pretty nice job on restoring it. Out of sheer curiosity, how much does it weigh?
  23. Ooh dear. I didn't pick the autumn leaf, oh well, but late now I guess. The website in question is this 'un. It's called Nisai Virtual Aademy, an online distance learning website. Thanks for the interest! :)
