How did they react?

I am guessing because they used a tripod and you can actually see what's happening.

You might want to see the trailer for Mr. Popper's Penguins http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1396218/ It was shot on Arri Alexa, Zeiss Ultra Prime Lenses. It looks better then the RED. You see, I agree with the DP's choice shooting it on digital. The film is stupid. It would not make any sense to shoot it on film. Films that are rich in story like City Of God, Gladiator etc... should be shot on film and not digital. You want that sense of beauty and artistic freedom to work to your advantage. -
Do it like this. Make everyone walk forward but the actor walks backwards.

The Tree of Life

I read the article Vincent. I don't see any red in there. So why are people proclaiming it was shot on red? -

According to IMDB - Red One Camera (some shots) I really don't know how red fans can say it was shot on red. -
The two faces of Charlie Sheen

If they bothered to use an external flash speedlite with a diffuser and a grid then it would have been a professional shot. Even with all of that, Charlie will still look sick. That's his nature. -
You're welcome.

Better then most car commercials.

That effect can be done in after effects. It is a limitless zoom done with stitching of pictures. You have to take a lot of pictures. Here is an example.

That's deception. They deserve everything they get when people pirate films.

There was nothing that came out of the screen. Literary nothing. Not even an atom. It's going to be released in 2D on Blue Ray anyway. What was the reason to release it on 3D? I literary mean nothing stood out in 3D. Absoluteness complete nothingness. So, I am confused, why release it on 3D.

The bottom video, the reflection is brighter on that one. I do not believe that has to do with dof.

That's it Peter. Keep hope alive. -
Shoot it on the RED EPIC http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1646987/ Take it away Gandalf.

Alex, all your projects fell through because of money. Nothing else. Everything else can be replaced with money but without money nothing can move forward. That's the problem with the UK. The film industry is not as advanced in finance as other countries.

First time Director of Photagraphy need advice on filter
Joseph Arch replied to Sebas Pelletier's topic in General Discussion
I am not certain about the 4x4 with lenses. That's why you have t take that list of questions to a rental house. They would know exactly what to give you. When you install photoshop you should have got the chance to install premiere with it. On the timeline right click and choose "Export to photoshop" or something along those lines. What you can also do is export a 10 seconds or less video clip in .mov format or a format photoshop likes and import it into photoshop. Click on Window > Animation and it will bring up the timeline in photoshop. From there you can manipulate the video in any way you want depending on your knowledge of photoshop. -

1. Your best way will be to take some of that list to a rental house. 2. From the look of those videos it looks like it was done in photoshop. The Old Nikon 20mm + eBay adapter did help with the wide angle. He also made look HDR but not over do it which gave it a look better then standard digital. I would say photoshop played a big part of the looks. 3. There will be mistakes. Fix them, work around them and move on. -
