How much light can this kind of set-up actually produce? Or is the look of the vid actually a lot to do with post? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi! Here is the latest music video I have shot. 'You Act Like a Baby' by Tribes of the City. http://vimeo.com/1857497 Shot with Canon XL-2. No adaptors, just usual 20x lens. Used 500w construction light, 3 dedos and a reflector to light.

Not a single scene is CGI. Locations shot 23 countries over 4 years. Brilliant film.

UPDATE and SOULUTION. Basically, bought a third wire (golden (!) 6-pin to 4-pin Firewire). And it worked. Thanks a lot!

Did lots of times - doesn't help. What I don't understand - Windows doesn't see the camera as well - it doesn't even show that annoying yellow bubble with 'new device' message.

Weirdly the problem has stayed on Windos with Adobe Premiere as well - PC just doesn't see the camera.

Hi! Trying to connect XL2 to capture some footage to FCP. Connecting through FireWire (4-pin in camera to 6-pin in Mac). The problem is - mac (10.5.2) doesn't see the camera. When going to FCP (6.0.2) to capture files, it says that external Apple Firewire PAL (720x576) device is not connected; whe clicking 'log and capture' - "unable to initialize video deck". Please note that this is the first time the XL2 is connected to this particular MacBook. What is the problem and how to solve it? Thanks a lot in advance! Edgar.
