  1. That's really neat! I'll have to try something like that.
  2. ebay.com......you can get just about anything on ebay and it's cheaper.
  3. Besides I'd much rather spend $8 to see a movie like "The Assasination of Jesse James" or something.
  4. Why? What's dumb about it? You claim the film supports a cause you support, yet you think it's dumb? That makes no sense. Because I don't like watching movies where a girl in highschool gets pregnent and then everybody in her family seems to act like it's ok. I just don't find enjoyment in seeing others make wrong choices unless they learn something from it.
  5. I don't like the fact that the movie "Juno" is almost saying that it's ok for kids to have pre-marital sex, I mean the dad was actaully joking about it. I think if kids see this than there going think it's ok to have underage sex and then all they have to do is put the kid up for adoption, and think, "boy that was easy". For one; a girl's life will be messed up. Number two; the baby's life will be messed up 'cause the kid will most likely never know his real mother. What kind of message is that? However, I do like that it had somewhat of a pro-life message. Anyway, I think the movie is a dumb movie. If people want to see a much better made movie, watch "Bella". It's a great film.
  6. I love "Visions of Light". It's a pitty that they don't make more things like that.
  7. It sounds to much like a gory movie for me. Also, I think Johnny Depp is a good actor, but I think he's just a little overated.
  8. "Rear Window" "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" "What's Up Doc" "Libeled Lady" "After The Thin Man" These are just a few of my many favorites.
  9. So is "The Assasination of Jesse James". I also agree with David, Deakins has been nominated 7 times now, it would be crazy for him not to get it.
  10. I think "The Assassination of Jesse James" will win, but if not that then "There Will Be Blood" will.
  11. I forgot to mention Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca", shot by George Barnes, is another one.
  12. "The Big Heat" "Laura" "The Big Combo" "Sunset Blvd." "Oliver Twist" (1948) "The Naked City" Pretty much any of the 40-50's film noir movies are excelent in B&W.
  13. Yes, that could work. Thanks.
  14. Sweet! Thanks alot for help Paul.
  15. This summer I am shooting a thriller in Chicago and have some car scenes that I need to light. It's a no budget film so I'm only going to be able to use what light that I have(shop lights) and pratical light. So I really need advise or ideas on how to go about lighting a car scene. Below are some pics of what the directer wants it to look like.
