  1. I've been to the UK on numerous occasions and have to say that UK TV is a lot less "trashy" than US TV, except if you tune into SKY, but there again that's Murdoch owned.
  2. Yes, but just how much was the actual movie British? Crew, full financing, distribution etc.
  3. The slo-mo. It reminded me of that scene from Armageddon when Willis and crew are walking to the astronaut training area.
  4. How does that piece of poop newspaper (The Sun) continue to be allowed to be printed. Surely it should have gone the way of the News Of The World?
  5. The British Film Industry never really took off did it. Great British movies but made primarily by US studios.
  6. I think many stories from both great wars will eventually make it to screen. There are so many real life heroes (and villains) to be seen.
  7. Even though the Black Friday deals have expired there are still loads of bargains to be had on the Amazon.com web site, if you are prepared to look.
  8. Whether or not a film school works for you will be down to you. Many people do well using them, but you must do some research to find the right one for you. Also factor in the costs, not just for the coarse but also for living expenses etc. Will it be close to where you live? will it be full or part time? There are many things to consider.. Good luck with your endeavors.
  9. I've watched the Directors Cut twice now and apart from the extended first scene couldn't see any other differences. Anyone spot any?
  10. Must admit I did not like the slo mo of the 3 females (?) walking toward the camera, but the rest is gold.
  11. Nice looking camera. Will be interesting reading the reviews on it.
  12. Well, my Blu-ray Steelbook is on it's way from the UK. Hopefully it will turn up this week so that I can watch it over the New Year's holiday.
  13. Thank you for clearing that up. And I agree that superb IMAX wipes the floor with any 3D presentation.
  14. Studios should be pushing IMAX for blockbusters and not gimmicky 3D, especially Pseudo 3D.
  15. I had no issues with the way Indy 4 was filmed. When I show friends the movie (on Blu-ray) they are always impressed how it looks.
  16. Indeed it does and very useful it is too. Were those the theatrical or extended versions of LOTR Paulo? I just purchased the extended trilogy for less that $50 from amazon. They will be a Christmas present.
  17. Was the movie any good, or does Mr Cage and Ms Kidman's careers descend even further into the abyss?
  18. I know and that's a real crime. Warner Bros need to go back to many of their earlier Blu-rays and do them again...properly this time. Cheap ass bastards.
  19. Picked up Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown for less than $5 each, X-Men First Class for less than $10 and Memento for less than $9, none of those titles are rubbish, far from it.
  20. So how much would a degree in film cost at a University such as Oxford or Cambridge?
