  1. Hey Ladies & Gents Simple questions.... What's your answer? Best ps: you could include some made in 16mm ( PI, Clerks are on my list)
  2. I tell you who I will like to become... Martín Yernazian.... he is the poop and the way he makes films describes totally who he is ...... :)
  3. Super 8 is kind a cool, but I think you shouldn't blow the posssiblity of Super 16 just like that There are a lot of cameras out there that are small enough that they will be ok Kinor S-16 K-3 ( you may find one that is converted) Eclair ACL 2 ( this cam is great for what you want and you can use both 200 and 400 feet) Bolex H converted to S 16 you can find a lot of Super 16 cameras much eaiser today , because of the digital revolution. Best
  4. Dear CRaig I actually like the strobbing effect that's why I'M BUYING a costumized Eclair NPR, than a Aaton Ltr..... but that's besides the point 1/48 ( standart) have a more soft look to things the same with 1/24 ( well softer) even do you are shooting with film, it will be never close to a video like cine shooting with the DVX100 at those shutter rates, but it look killer and be in need for those situations in your script. Now you are shooting with film, and I want people to understand that, first you need a soft look sometimes so that could be good, but I feel that a 1/60 that will be a great balance within soft and choppy look. I hope I made sense with my crazy english Best
  5. hey guys try vimeo.com the quality is great!!!!! Best
  6. Hello all I been doing some hd projects and I want to burn into a dvd, but the problem is that everytime that I make one into a DVD with DVD Studio Pro 4, the quality goes down big time I been going nuts and I ahve no idea what to do, My only guess is that I can't make prime quality dvds with my G5 2.7, but I have friends in theindustry that use the same machine to do their dvd's.... PLease help Most of the the projects are DVCPRO HD done with the Varicam Some of them are just graphics done in MOtion 2 Thanks
  7. Dear Adam where did you shot this ? Best
  8. Antonio, 6000 $ for a camera non reflex that can only load 100 feet ? I prefer a good 30 year old cam that is been converted and welll kept Best
  9. Mira Hermano Lo que te recominedo es que le pongas un Blimp como te dijo General Treegan es lo mejor por que llegas a la post produccion mas preparado sin tener que hacerle tantos preparativos secundarios Buena Suerte Lo Mejor
  10. THanks clive I actually have at least 10 prime canon fd red series lenses that I will be suing on my new feature at the end of the year and I was wondering about the aperture Thanks a bunch Best
  11. I agree with Morgan Also as a director I see a really weak plot here, even do the story is evident, things seem to move really slow, more slow than it should be. Everything wasn't a surprise, the acting was .... blah, I could say that the girl was the best.... but still her manerisms where to obvious. Still I give you kudos for beign a student film, is much better thatn a lot of stuff made by students Best
  12. Dear Troy, In this forum you have to you use your full real name. As the Eclair go, Yes it is old, and it was use by NFL films for a long time, to do does great slow mo shots. there is one been sold on ebay right now http://cgi.ebay.com/Eclair-GV-16-16mm-High...1QQcmdZViewItem It seems that the camera is non -sync, I personally don't that much about this cam but some of the guys here they will enlight us Best
  13. Hey man I checked out , and look ok, some of the shots are dark, but the rest they have this dark matter to it , I like it congrats Best
  14. Gentelmen. Thanks Very Very Much You guys are great Best
  15. I think the idea of pushing is not bad at all, also film has such dinamism that you could do that on post to, also cross process is not a bad idea either.
  16. Hey Guys.... For months I been wanting to collect great books displaying 16mm and 35mm cameras My great lads, I'll ask you Any suggestions? Any great Bibles?
  17. Dear David I will Love to see some of your footage once you are done Best
  18. Dear Dennis I can't see your link, And I'm really interested on your footage!!!! Best
  19. Dear Rob.....The Idea or concept is pretty cool The delivery... not as nice, I think with a nice reedit, a better job on the music, and image balance, ( you need more contrast man!) I know the youtube doesn't give you justice, but that's just an image thing, you need to work the story trough the edit, I like the idea... I think you have something here, but you need to work this much more before showing it, You don't have to make excuses just finish your film.... Best ps: I do like the intro I don't know what the hell the other guy didn't like about it
  20. Bienvenido Julio! If you get a Canon 8-64mm that's a great lens
  21. I think something like the K3 will be better, I 've seen some of the converted to S16... really cool good luck
  22. Since when people have become reserve of trying the extreme, Sam if you think you have good sequence to try, my advice is go for it, just have it ready and welll ready I think a long sequence of more than 11 it would be interesting to see.... jeezz today with all the editing trikery I would love to see long 5 minutes sequence, like in the new movie Children of Men.( Well I always was a fun of Long sequences)
  23. Dr Mr Sadal I found your project pretty interesting, I want to ask you , what did you shoot this with? Please elaborate with camera, lens, film, etc. Thanks
