    Interesting you say that as it's taught me the business origins of footage which influenced me. I would watch many interviews and music videos of mega music and TV stars and Kino was extremely abundant. The double 4-bank right on the talent to kill all shadows is my go-to when I'm trying to make someone look as photogenic as possible. Despise the divaring and donut lights personally. I should post some stills from this project I'm working on to see how photographer's art versus model's insecurities compete with one another.

    Is there a different approach I should be taking when lighting a girl as opposed to a guy? I mostly work with actors and I like how my lighting comes out, but I'm not sure if there's different approaches which should be taken when it comes to rendering the female face.

    How does anyone consider another camera??? I can't afford them but they have the Mini and Amira which do 4k. I'm just using a classic which was a heavy pain but the skin tones are unlike anything I've ever seen. I can close my eyes while clicking around in Resolve and the grades still look good. Who else competes when it comes to skin tones because this thing is unreal.

    The bigger question to ask yourself is "Am I actually interesting?" "Are the things in my brain legitimately divergent?"

    Richard Boddington (one of the few here with feature-length director credits) said something very similar to Tyler. If you wanna be a filmmaker/director then look into being a producer. If you control the budget no one can tell you that you can't be the director. Most of the auteur type guys started off as producers in one way or another for their own projects. Then said self-produced work was seen, opening more opportunities.

    Metal on the bottom gets so hot I can't hold it. But it would probably be shoulder-rigged anyway so it's fine.

    You know where you put a mirror REALLY close to the lens and angle it so it doubles the image while the physical mirror itself is out of focus? What do you find to be the most compact way of doing that? I currently use a C-stand cuddled up next to the camera tripod, but I'd like a method that doesn't use stands if possible. Thanks!

    I have 2 130wh batteries but each of them only provide about 50 minutes of run time. If I need to go out for a 6 hour shoot, what is your recommended battery arsenal?

    Yeah I always say "motion picture" cause it makes me look hella industry.
