  1. the little latch was only on the earliest small base models.
  2. I would be curious to see those photos, if you don't mind posting them here.
  3. Did you look at the link above for the 3d printed version? Might have some useful images.
  4. Also in Europe, maybe it's possible to piggy back on to this order have it shipped direct to us in Europe.
  5. Eclair ACL II camera with Kinoptik orientable viewfinder, Angenieux 12-120 lens in excellent condition, HD Motor and 400ft magazine, anatomical grip and Delsey fitted hard case. Works perfectly and in very good condition. Shipping from Belgium.
  6. Probably the only HD ACL motor currently for sale on the planet. If you want a back up motor and want to upgrade from a single speed motor, send me a message. Shipping from Belgium. Thanks.
  7. Marek Budzynski, on this website, was developing a new motor for the Eclair Cameflex 35mm cameras. Surprised he hasn't chimed in here. Do a search and you'll find him and links to videos of his motor working.
  8. To finally get back to this: I just had several ACL HD motors repaired at AZ Spectrum (since my original contact in France for the repairs passed away) and the motor that I discussed earlier that possibly had burned out motor speed control lamps did indeed have this issue. AZ Spectrum replaced both incandescent bulbs with led lamps. I had three motors repaired, and I must say, at a reasonable cost, and all three showing different symptoms. The one mentioned above with erratic speeds, one that had a sync light turning on, but otherwise no movement, and a third that showed no signs of life at all and would blow fuses. All three were repairable. Obviously, this makes me re-think the notion that once an acl motor goes out, it's finished and it would seem that the issues are electronic component related rather the motor being burned out.
  9. For Sale is an Eclair ACL super16 body only, in good working condition. No motor, no viewfinder, no adapter. I've shot film with the camera and the results are very good, however, under strong back lighting, it is possible to get flicker in the upper right hand corner of the frame. The camera has not had the ground glass marked off to super16. I have a few magazines in either 400ft or 200ft that I can also sell. This body would suit someone that already has an ACL in standard 16mm that could then transfer over their motor, viewfinder etc. I'm located in Belgium and would give preference to a Euro ship but I'm open to shipping elsewhere. 1600€ net to me. https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/877893630?utm_source=email&utm_medium=vimeo-cliptranscode-201504&utm_campaign&fbclid=IwAR1rgFzzr2E_v6ImgmfcUUSRNcTXMVVq3tf0qvnLtoYcbRL2_IO_SsLAEmE
  10. as only the right side of the view finder field changes, never found much need to mark it off and nothing I ever shot had to be that precise in the framing. worked great for me but surely not for everyone.
  11. Paul Scaglione from Visual Products did tell me this too. Is this flickering from your newly converted ACL from Les??
  12. I'm going to sell a super16 ACL body that according to Paul at Visual Products, was modified by him, but for some reason was never fully finished...meaning that it does not have a VP ground glass, but a standard ground glass. It's just the body, no motor or viewfinder, so would suit someone that already has an ACL and wants to swap over a few parts to have a super16 camera. I've shot film with this camera on numerous occasions and the results are good but under certain situations, mostly backlit sunlight, I get flicker, which was easily dealt with in DaVinci. I won't be asking a fortune for it.
  13. Wasn't address you directly, only giving my two cents on the values and viability of these cameras.
  14. all of it seems hugely overpriced to me. If you ever thought an ACL was difficult to fix, wait till the electronics crap out on an Aaton.
  15. I also have this camera, which does not fit my SR. Does anyone know what camera it is for??
  16. Hi Patrick, I'm also in Brussels and have an SR1 with the setup and the Denz camera. Would be interested to know more about the setup you are talking about. Steve.
  17. I have this exact unit and it's mounted on an SR1, so it must be possible.
  18. Does anyone here have experience using the Denz VCSC Digital 2000attached to an Arri Sr and if so, opinions of it or suggestions for something that might work better. I have the setup to receive this type of device but am not sure if it's worth the bother and figure, surely, better and cheaper alternatives are available.
  19. Is it possible to look at an Arri SR and visually determine if the circuitry has been changed from French to German? Would the mirror parking be different if the boards had been changed?
  20. Further to this post, the tech, Christophe Goulard, has passed away and he did not get around to repairing my motor, so it's very kindly being sent back to me and I'm hoping someone else may be interested in exploring this type of repair, which on the surface, sounds kind of basic.
  21. As it happens, my ACL super16 was a Chris Squires owned camera, also converted by Paul at Visual Products.
