Hardev Singh
Hi everyone, I just shot a quick test of the old baby, wow i really like that lens ! The range, the sharpness (some of last indoor shots are 120mm and remain well sharp) the colors, how the lens retain light,... With good lighting and color correction i think this glass is really nice ! https://vimeo.com/153527389
Shawn Sagady
Looks awesome. Love the macro tests. What apature were you at for the outdoor stuff?
Hardev Singh
Thank you ! It was F4 or F5.6 can't remember exactly, and all indoor shots were wide open. On this lens the 12-30mm range vignett' a bit, so i applied a 1.08 zoom/crop for these outdoor shot ^^

Premium Member Bill DiPietra Posted February 27, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2016 Definitely one of the softer lenses I've used in the past, but it looked really nice on your test.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted February 27, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2016 Being as I'm pondering ancient Nikons - even the 60s ones with the immensely large maximum aperture and the three-stop vignetting - I have to ask: At what point does "crap" become "a look"? Giray Izcan
Phil has a point haha. I had an Angenieux 12-120 with one of my 16 cameras. I sort of gave it away.
Premium Member Jay Young Posted February 27, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2016 I've got the Angenieux 10-150, and I can't figure out if I want to have the mount changed, or just buy the adapter.... I really like mine, it's one of the better I believe.
Premium Member Satsuki Murashige Posted February 27, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2016 At what point does "crap" become "a look"? Art direction + lighting + optics + taste = 'Look.' Any of those factors (including optics) may be 'crap.' The only variable that must be 'good' in order to achieve a successful 'Look' is taste.
