Sir Alvin Ekarma
It's soft; it only briefly becomes sharp when you pull focus on the dog in that interior shot. Did you set the diopter properly?
Chris Burke
first test footage with my new k3 tell me what you think :) http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=2M4GuzSPWXg I didn't really mind it being soft. Was that your intent? It has a very "home movie" look to it, which I love. It might have been nice to see some really sharp stuff thrown in there as well. I used to own a Super 16 K-3, with a few primes. It produced beautifully sharp images, so will yours. Great work and great song. chris
Olex Kalynychenko
first test footage with my new k3 tell me what you think :) http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=2M4GuzSPWXg I don't know about " soft", at for me, the many takes out of focus. If you set of focus of lens at all takes correctly, the problem with adjust of position of ground glass The groun glass of K-3 camera fix by three screws. But, the position of ground glass can be test and adjust with collimator only. The next question, at a some takes, i see , you pulling of zoom and sharpness lost. To need check of flange focal distance of lens mount and zoom lens. If the distances be not congruent, the sharpness will change at change of position of zoom. The next question. What light meter you use ? build K-3 ? I recommed to use of external modern, digital light meter. From other side, not bad.

Curtis Bouvier
You know what, I thought it was absolutely beautiful, well placed shots, the soft look really enhanced the mood and so did the music. This video is unique and it probably wouldn't have been the same in any other way. the color was also spot on with the mood, the fact that it was a little dark and gloomy was actually good. I don't like it when film footage is too bright, its completely distracting in my eye. well done.
Dory Breaux DP
Hey I just watched this again, and I thought I'd tell you again how sick those outdoors shots were. Really well done, and you even got a pretty subject too! Snow and girls YAY! Nice job man!
Robin Leveille
This has been awhile and sorry for not responding. Ya the shots came out soft unfortunately. I have no idea why. I recently bought a Bolex EBM getting it converted to Super 16 I'll post another test film soon.

Gregg MacPherson
I watched some of that. I liked the shots with deep blacks. Did you figure out what's causing the deep scratches, or whatever it is. They sit almost stationary in the frame. Where were you. I can't tell if that is the UK or upmarket New Delhi. Never been to the UK, and its over 20 years since I was in New Delhi, so who knows, not me.
