Matthew Buick
Oh! It's one of those companies is it? Well thanks for the advice, I'll buy from Tamron instead. If an AF motor can break in one of their lenses it can certainly do so in my super-cheap Sony kit lenses! Ooh...err!
Kristian Schumacher
I just got the 5d MKII yesterday. Will do some still and video testing today-fun-fun-fun. Canon 50mm 1.4, Nikon 60mm macro, 20mm and a Zenitar 16mm. Kristian

Tamron is in the same category. Read some tests in photo magazines before you buy! Cheers, Dave
Premium Member Rich Steel Posted February 28, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted February 28, 2009 Nikon D300 c/w Nikon/Zeis ZF 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm. I should really look at getting some sort of auto zoom lens. But the ZF are never off the damn thing.

Premium Member David Auner aac Posted March 5, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 5, 2009 Zeiss then! :P No. Nikkors! The Zeiss glass for F mount aren't that good. Especially the built quality of the housing and barrels is rather lacking IMO. And the optics are not that much better as to justify the much higher price. Premium Member Damien Bhatti Posted March 5, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 5, 2009 Can anyone suggest a decent manual zoom lens for a Canon 400d. I am doing some stop motion, hence the manual reducing flicker, and bought a really cheap and nasty Nikkon lens with an adapter. So could anybody suggest a nice manual zoom Nikkon lens?
