Jim Bob
I need to use fake beer for a shoot. Can anyone tell me how this can be done. I needs to be non-alcoholic and must be foamy and poured like beer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Brian Drysdale
Non alcoholic beer looks pretty good, just doesn't taste so good.
Jim Bob
It needs to be something that is not beer at all. "Non alcoholic" beer still has alcohol. I need something i can make from ingredients.
Mark Dunn
There is alcohol-free, rather than low-alcohol, beer. I can't think why you have to make it, rather than buy it.
Brian Drysdale
Here are some alcohol free beers, some of which contain no alcohol. http://www.alcoholfree.co.uk/index.php?cPath=2_12&osCsid=344031de77f498eedcd58f2976a8a804 Of course you could use the real thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HKmXYFMVPA I believe there were 7 takes. Mark Dunn
A glass like that with a lot of head looks like about 200ml, the size you get in Köln. Whilst 1.4l of 5% Carlsberg is a little challenging, and I'd much prefer Kölsch, it's still only about the same alcohol content as a bottle of Mosel Riesling and I'm sure John Mills took it in his stride. Although sitting down no doubt helped. I don't know about you colonials but anyone in the film industry here would surely be able to down that much without breaking step. Richard Kinkade
I think Non-alcoholic beer should look enough like real beer. I guess since Non-alcoholic beer has a little bit of alcohol in it, then maybe applejuice would work. Shaking it up and pouring it might give it a good beer-like head. Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted October 17, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted October 17, 2010 just had a thought, but one might also try to sell cream soda ;)
Mike Lary
If you end up using alcohol-free beer, you should be able to make the head last longer by adding a little salt.
