eric sumner Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I have read on here about the diy video assist, but nobody really said exactly what is needed to do it. I would hate to buy a bunch of stuff that doesn't work and waste money, so I guess what I'm asking is could someone tell me exactly what to get for a video assist to work on a bolex EBM. thanks
Todd Pinder Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 And the components: Marshall V-LCD4-Pro-Kit LCD monitor, Mintron CCD camera model MTV-33K9HN with 12mm f/1.6 1/3" CS mount TV lens, and SRB-Griturn custom viewfinder eyepiece adapter.
Gerald Moore Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 WOW Fantastic. Are you able to do precision focusing?
Jean-Louis Seguin Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 WOW Fantastic. Are you able to do precision focusing? The H8 Reflex viewfinder image being much less magnified than the EBM, you will likely need a wider focal length lens to completely fill the monitor screen, probably either 10mm, 9mm or 8mm. Cheers, Jean-Louis
eric sumner Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 did they have to build the adapter for you or did they have it in stock already made.
Todd Pinder Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 That camera is not mine. I just remember saving the image for reference. But the description did say custom! http://www.srb-griturn.com/for-compact-digital-cameras--camcorders-with-filter-or-body-mounting-threads-361-p.asp
Premium Member Robert Ditto Posted May 30, 2011 Premium Member Posted May 30, 2011 DU-CAMERA offers a kit that is very similar to the one pictured above. My broths and I are currently working on a video assist kit which will allow operators to use the eye piece as well as have video assist like Arri cameras do. Robert M. Ditto
