Brian Rose
Hey all, I've got a Bescor starved electrolyte battery belt from my 16mm cam, that is close to ten years old now, and kaput...won't hold a charge, dead as the parrot. What should I do with it? Is there anyone out there who'll take these to recell them? Or failing that, how do I properly dispose of this battery? Thanks! Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted September 15, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted September 15, 2013 You can probably get it recelled pretty easily. Give Rathbone a call/email: http://www.rathboneenergy.com/

On my belt all the compartments have zips and you can unzip them, unclip the battery inside and pop a new one in there. Not sure what yours is like. I'm trying to use the old ones in a solar setup to charge low power devices like my phone/nook/mp3 player etc. Freya
Rick Cook
Definitely attempt putting new Cells in it. I had one die, and was able to have it rebuilt for $45. I also snipped the cable on another that had been really messed up and used it to go into a HUGE battery to run my Arriflex BL. Now the thing Runs for days but is super heavy. Brian Drysdale
Recell, you soon find out that you initially paid a lot for the outer casing compared to cost of the cells inside.
Premium Member Zak Draskovich Posted September 17, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted September 17, 2013 Recell is the thing I would do. I have been recelling my Anton Bauers and they come out excellent or better. I buy the cells from zbattery.com. They have high quality cells and you canget them tabbed or not.
