Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
I have tube light that has a +/- 3/4 inch diameter. What sort of clamp do I need to mount it to a light stand? Thanks

Ed Conley
What type of lamp? Brand? Does it have an area where you can clamp to?

Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
Thanks for the replies. Those cilps look interesting. I wanted to be able to angle it. It is not a regular light. It is a special IR light. I could tape it, but was hoping for some adjustability.

Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
Thanks Ed, but not in L.A. now. I bought one of these. The clamp holds the light, but what to do with the screw part? Trying to figure out how to mount on the male tripod screw that is on top of the light stand. But I need a female coupler.
Mark Dunn
That's not really the right item- it's to clamp a lightweight camera to a pole. You could probably find a threaded tube, but it wouldn't be very rigid. If the light stand screw is 3/8" this would do that: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tripod-Screw-Thread-Mount-Set-Kit-1-4-3-8-1-4-1-4-for-DSLR-Camera-Bracket/163202323609?hash=item25ff9dd499:g:cAkAAOSwoDlb4eVs It looks like it's got a 3/8" hole next to the ball-and-socket head- you could screw that into the light stand, but you'd have no adjustment. Ed Conley
They make a brass adapter 1/4" to 3/"https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/546500-REG/Manfrotto_119_119_Short_16mm_Adapter.html Then use a reducing bushing for the 3/8" thread. Side. Iffin' you want to screw directly to the threaded 1/4" on the stand. or.
