Mack Jiang Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 I am a student, I do not want to transfer to digital and edit it. I hope to edit with film and I want to know where can I edit my 5 min short film? Is there any editing table to rent in LA, I hope to find a cheap way to do it.

Can you tell me more about the project? Do you have work prints or is it cutting reversal? Are you going to do separate mag audio? How do you plan on exhibiting it if you aren't doing a transfer to digital?
Mack Jiang Posted February 18, 2021 Author Posted February 18, 2021 This project is going to be a 5 min silent film, so the sound is not the thing I want to do in this project. But I still hope to use some more functional film editing table such as steenbeck editing table, then I can know the sound editing and use it in my next project. Thanks Xu
Robino Jones Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 There's a 16mm Moviola on craigslist (in L.A) that looks to be pretty clean. Might be cheaper than renting. https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pho/d/los-angeles-16mm-upright-moviola/7277909016.html
charles pappas Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Rewinds, a splicer, and viewer like a Zeiss Moviescope or Craig viewer should do the trick.
David Matthew Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 I am interested in a short term (one-two week) silent 16mm moviescope rental in NYC.
John Rizzo Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Hello Matthew contact http://mononoawarefilm.com/equipment-rental_ they will have whatever you need to rent, speak to Steve Crossman tell him I Recommended them.
