RIP Jesse Chambless

I was saddened to hear of the loss ff Jesse Chambless of Chambless Cine Equipment. I always had a great experience when dealing with Jesse for all of my Bolex needs throughout the years. 

 

Posting this here for anyone who hasn't heard of the news. RIP Jesse

Jesse was very responsive to my needs and seemed to know everything there was to know about Bolex cameras and accessories. At the time I contacted him about two years ago he was already in the process of winding down his business because of health issues, so I am saddened but not surprised by this news. Thank you Mr. Chambless and God bless.

I just learned about this today. 

I will miss Jesse. He was always very generous with his time and knowledge. 

Nobody will fill his shoes.

This is insane, everyone I did business with is dropping like flies.

And, the irony is, I'm now living half an hour away from what used to be Chambless Cine Equipment. I could have gone down there and met him in person. I wonder what his wife did with all the inventory. 

Time is erasing all the film businesses, just like Bernie told me. I hope @Simon Wyss will still be around for 16mm camera advice!
