  1. As long as the person most suitably trained for the job gets the job that's fine. Not hired just because of some fancy diploma.
  2. You only have to be near a film set and the atmosphere is electric. You cannot beat that buzz.
  3. For cinephiles VOD will NEVER take off due to the crappy bitrates and lossy audio. I want my movies in a physical form not via streaming. I really hope that it doesn't take off.
  4. I do hope that he is not being hired as a mentor anymore.
  5. Many retailers are dropping the prices of older catalog titles in an effort to compete with the likes of Amazon. You go in there to purchase cheap Blu-rays and come out with full price Transformers DOTM or Thor. Great marketing.
  6. Ben Hur looks awesome on Blu-ray. They did a great job of cleaning it up.
  7. I think the pseudo rolla-coaster ride with the helicopter killed it for many. I liked the movie however.
  8. I refused to hand over a huge wad of cash to watch this in 3D. After seeing it in 2D I'm glad I didn't bite.
  9. All these releases are killing my poor old wallet.
  10. Not blowing my own trumpet or anything, but I could never understand people not putting in 100% on any given task. I suppose that's the competitive part of me. I was always task orientated, had to get the job done even if it meant staying behind for half an hour.
  11. As a youth I was never big on Sci-Fi, Super Hero or Comic book based movies, however now they are my favorite movies. I cannot remember how long it's been since I enjoyed a comedy.

Epson’s new line offers a range of value-add features and performance at varying price levels to accommodate virtually all home cinema projection needs, including an entry-level solution available for less than $1,600. As the number-one selling projector brand worldwide, Epson utilizes full HD, active shutter 3D, with 1080p resolution and Bright 3D Drive Technology, which drives the panels at 480Hz, essentially doubling the image refresh rate of 240Hz panels, delivering ultra-bright images and reduced crosstalk for the ultimate in 3D viewing at home. These projectors offer high brightness – up to 2,400 lumens of color and white light output[ii] – and enable viewing on larger screens and in a range of ambient light conditions. Coupled with exceptional 2D quality viewing, these new projectors are an outstanding choice for any home cinema.” More About the Pro Cinema 6010 and Home Cinema 5010/5010e The Pro Cinema 6010 and Home Cinema 5010 and 5010e (wireless) feature an outstanding contrast ratio of up to 200,000:1 and up to 2,400 lumens of color and white light output for incredible black levels with a clear, clean picture. 13. According to Wikipedia Mr Spielberg has quite a few projects line up for the coming year for which it looks like he will be directing. This includes a biography of Martin Luther King Jr. So don't give up on him quite yet.
  14. Actually, he will be playing a new character and NOT Jason Bourne.
  15. Well the Blu-ray comes out in 2 weeks but only as a 2D version. The 3D version comes out in a couple of months. Audio will be dts HDMA 7.1. It's gonna sound awesome, even if the film is shite.
  16. I honestly believe it will be a sad day if we do lose Kodak. It's always sad to see an icon disappear.
  17. I don't have a fancy DSLR, but I have had problems when I remove the card and place into my MBP. Now I access the files directly off the camera via USB rather than remove the SD Card. I have had no issues using this system.
  18. 5 grand is a lot to hand over. However working with a mentor that will go the extra mile for you is worth every cent.
  19. I would love to have seen what the Transformers movies would have been like under the helm of someone like JJ. Abrams. Or if Spielberg had directed rather than merely exec Produced.
