  1. Everything about Ebay sucks now. They are charging commission (about 13%) on taxes and shipping, not just the item. It is a total ripoff. On top of that, they seem to go out of their way to screw sellers. I have sued Ebay three times now over their satisfaction guarantee. They interfere with contract between seller and buyer and I'm sick of it. Customer changes mind, files a false item not as described complaint, and seller eats shipping in both directions.
  2. Sold on Ebay for $119. I think I get about $50 of that. Ebay is a ripoff, if you want my honest opinion.
  3. Thanks. I thought it was bigger than my Ultra 16's. Bummer...all my filters are 105mm.
  4. My gear isn't insured for rental. If you want to pay me to show up with 416 kit, including 5 mags and Arri Ultra 16 lenses (9.5, 14, 18, 25, 35, 50), I might be interested. I see that rental rates are around $1k/day for the 416. Depending on dates/location, I imagine we could work something out.
  5. Nice. What is the front (lenscap ID) diameter?
  6. If you're interested in any camera gear, message me on cinematography.com.
  7. Just listed it on Ebay... https://www.ebay.com/itm/403664030759
  8. It's on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/403662574269 The quality is super high, but, well, read the listing.
  9. I have one that I'll sell for $100. Original cost was about $200 or $250.
  10. Hello. The interwebs seem to have plenty of pdf copies of the Bolex EL User's Manual, but I can't find the Bolex EL MK III Manual anywhere but on a paid site. The older manuals typically have a green cover. The MK III manual has a more modern looking front view of the camera on the cover. Does anyone have a pdf of the MK III manual by any chance? Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. I'm thinking of selling my beloved Bolex EL. It is in Excellent+ condition. The only noticeable wear is a couple paint chips on the magazine adapter on the top of the camera. I see that Du-All is selling the same camera, without lens, for $12,500. Theirs is new. I wonder what I can realistically get for it. EL body S/N 3312787 - MKIII with 13x Finder Converted to S16/16 (can configure for either) by Bolex Factory in 2013 Serviced/CLA'd by Bolex Factory in 2013 Bolex on-board battery, re-celled in 2013, works but may need to be re-celled again at some point. I also have a Les Bosher bayonet to PL adapter that I've used with Arri Ultra 16 lenses. I'm not sure I should sell that. I'm pretty bummed that Jesse Chambless is gone. I really enjoyed being able to bounce questions off him and buy all the obscure little things I needed to keep my little circus functioning the way I wanted.
  12. I'd better list it several times, then!
  13. Updated URL: https://www.ebay.com/itm/403651701681
  14. https://www.ebay.com/itm/403651618070 Lens not included. Five mags total: 2 used, 3 purchased new around 2014/2015. Three OBB-2. Two Pelicans. I'd prefer to sell this directly to someone without involving eBay. If you're interested in the camera, please contact me directly.
  15. Link to ebay auction of 235 shoulder mag 200': https://www.ebay.com/itm/403645200816
  16. I have one or two 200' Arri 235 shoulder magazines which were purchased new/demo from Munich. They are in the original Arri boxes. New price was really outrageous.
  17. I just updated our website and order form. The 100' rolls of Regular 8mm/Double 8mm will be available to ship in a week or two. Everything else is in the freezers ready to ship. http://toeppenfilm.com/ordernow.html I've heard rumors that film is better than digital :-)
  18. Package may include four mags rather than five. A magazine box that I thought contained a 416 mag actually contained a 235 shoulder mag. I'll post the package on my website and put a link here soon.
  19. Here are three films shot with Ikonoskop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yltOj1UDsgg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fx3cnz-iDQU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFeDk_czcp8 - I lost the g.d. viewfinder ($400 or so) and had to shoot this film with no viewfinder. The viewfinder is easy to lose and it's borderline worthless. Oh, and what are you going to do when you shoot with something other than 9.5mm/10mm lens?? There is only one finder, for wide angle.
  20. I've heard 416 prices have risen a bit, and I'm contemplating selling my 416. Here are the vitals: * Camera was owned by a Dusseldorf, Germany DP. He had a 416 plus (my camera) and 416 plus HS. He treated both with extreme care and neither were rented. This film shows the delivery of the camera to me, at the Dusseldorf Sheraton Hotel. It runs perfectly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN-yQZ4rIWc * Three OBB2 are included. One was purchased new from Arri in about 2017, when they flushed the last of their analog inventory from Munich. The other two were re-celled, one by me and one by Ritter. All three of them are checked monthly and charged when they get to the second yellow from the bottom. This means they'll take a full charge and run as if new/close to new. Batteries which are mismanaged are garbage and are close to worthless. * Five 400' mags are included. Two were used and included with the camera. They're in great shape and they work perfectly. Three were purchased new or demo from Arri Burbank when they flushed their analog inventory in about 2014. I've probably only shot 12,000' with the 416, so that means maybe 6 rolls max through each of the three new/demo mags. * A Pelican configured for perfectly safe transport of four mags is included. * Gigantic Pelican/liferaft/motorcycle trailer (I'm just saying it's a huge Pelican) holds the camera in ready-to-shoot configuration. I put it in the back of my Prius, drive down the road, stop, whip the camera out, shoot, put camera back in Pelican and race down the road for the next shot. * It's got a body cap, antenna, shutter tool, and the stuff you'd expect. * I may or may not include balance plate and base/rods. * It's got a video tap, of course, SD of course. * I could include a 3.5" Arri monitor and cable. It's so small that it's borderline useless, if you want my honest opinion. * A 400' roll of Ektachrome 7285 is included, stored at -10F or -15F since new in 2013 (I can't remember which freezer it's in). In order to be interested in selling my baby, I'd need close to $100k. If anyone is interested in a great camera at not so much of a discount price, let me know. I'm not interested in any trades (well other than for a set of mint Master Primes or maybe a big set of mint Ultra Primes).
  21. Just give me a new Kodak K100 and I'll be happy.
