  1. Hello, yes! I am in the process of building a power cable but I could definitely use whatever I can find! Thank you. I appreciate it very much. Please let me know how I can get in touch with you.
  2. I’m grateful for the links to the K100 service manual. I have a few K100 turret models that all work great. Out of the three single lens versions I have, only one is working properly. The latest one that bc arrived in the mail today worked for one winding, but now is refusing to function. My fingers are crossed in hopes that repairing the non-working ones will be quick and easy! Also, hopefully I’ll see where any lubrication might be needed (if at all). Thanks!
  3. I have found a source for the exact spring drive belts and have ordered 2 for my two Filmo 70HR sets. It’s a company called Magna-Tech Electronics in Florida. They have a huge catalog of cinema related items, old and new. Thank you for your help. Now I just need to build two power cables for the motors. One has a 24v motor and the other has a 110v motor. Both use 3 pin XLR style connectors for the power input. my thanks to everyone who has helped with this! Especially Charlie Peich for the extra information about the shepherds hook and other internal components of the film magazine system!
  4. I have two B&H Filmo 70 HR cameras, 400’ film magazines and two motors: one 24v motor and one 110v motor. Both motors use 3 pin female XLR type power input connections. I am building power canles for them as I can’t seem to find any original ones. My question is about using an XLR connector for the 110v motor: Will using a standard edison power cord soldered into the female XLR connector be safe? I won’t try using the microphone cable as most of those cables are designed for 48v max - for phantom power when needed - and I don’t want to start a fire trying to film scenes using the 400’ mags. Thank you.
  5. I have finally acquired two of these old beautiful beasts; a Special and a Special II. I came here to see if someone knew the shutter angle and am leaving after getting some great information! As always, Cinematography.com saves the day!
  6. Hello, I realize this thread is over 10 years old, but I would like, if possible, to find that pdf file to compare with the factory manual I have. There may not be any difference, but I’d love to find out! I have the C16 and have now purchased a C16R. I’m guessing that the main difference is in the lensing - the C16 ones using the Eumicronar and Eumacronar screw in lenses to modify the built-in 25mm lens for the alterate focal lengths, whereas the C16R had both of those on the turret. Am I correct in my assumption?
  7. This is great to know. I suppose I'll have to experiment with length/girth of the drive spring I'll be making (as none seem to be available anywhere.. yet). Thank you both for this information!
  8. Hello, I too find myself with a Filmo HR complete with 400’ mag, and am now searching for a drive spring/belt for the magazine to operate as intended. I won’t be surprised if I’ll need to go through the same process regarding the motoized operation components/modifications. Any and all information about locating the drive spring (first!), and further details will be greatly appreciated! Thank everyone in advance! - Mike Owens
  9. Hello Tim, It has been16 years since this post, but I may have found an Arri M, so I thought I would take a chance that you might still be around and ask - might you still have an inventory of Arri M parts? Thank you sir!
  10. Greetings and happy new year. I’m trying to find out what the shutter angles are in several of my old 16mm cameras. It’s not as easy as I had anticipated. I own Bolex H16, H8, Keystone A-7, 9, 12 & 15, Revere 16/26, Kodak Cine E, Krasnogorsk K3, and a few other brands of older gear. I’m hoping to build myself a “cheat sheet” of sorts for exposure choices with different film stocks in these cameras - sticking with 24fps for consistency. Does anyone know a good resource for such information? The lack of information isn’t stopping me from filming, I just think it would assist me with calculating proper aperture settings in various lighting conditions. Thank you in advance for any assistance!
  11. Ok thank you Mark. That makes perfect sense.
  12. How about the opposite mount change? Are there affordable adapters to go from the Krasnogorsk 3 bayonet mount to M42? I have many Takumar and other M52 lenses that I would love to use on a K3 with the bayonet mount. Thanks in advance!
