Hey guys, I have this job with part day, part night scenes, all exterior, sunny look, but with bad weather on my way. It's a pool party for a fashion film. My budget is not that big, and I have to pick between HMIs or TUNG lights to make all the job. NIght and daylight exterior. Can you send some ideias with your experience? The câmera is a RED EPIC DRAGON. The look of the film is pretty colorfull with a lot of gels and some uv light. Thanks

The WCU-4 with a monitor and receiver (and battery) attached is quite heavy. And the regular hand position on the left side is very far away from the center of gravity. This results in high fatigue on the wrist. The JOE bracket allows to mount and adjust a monitor to the WCU-4 and has its own handgip which is placed much closer to the center of gravity. The weight is no longer carried by the wirst but by the much stronger biceps. When the WCU does not need to be carried around the handgrip serves as a docking bracket on a C-stand. Set of Cooke Speed Panchros ser. II and III, seven lenses in arri mount, 18-25-32-40-50-75-100, ser # they range from 5XXXXX to 7XXXXX. The 32mm has no focusing mount. Hi, I'm selling a gorgeous Arri Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 PL mount. I got this lens last year from a retired cinematographer, it was part of his back-up set so it looks like "new old stock", pretty rare. Price: $4500 (4000E) Lens is located in Athens, Greece. I can ship worldwide. I accept Paypal and Bank transfer, although I'd prefer the latter for obvious reasons. If you prefer Paypal you'll have to pay the fees, shipping with next day DHL is on me. - Optically the lens looks extremely clean, no cleaning marks, no dust (I can see 1-2 very-very small particles under close inspection, my CN-Es already have more), no scratches, no fungus. 9.9/10 - Cosmetically the lens is very clean, doesn't even have usage marks on the focus gear. 9.9/10 - Mechanically the lens feels great, smooth focus and aperture. Due to it not have being used in a long time, I'd advise a focus lubrication service at some point just to be on the safe side. 9.5/10 The lens comes with original Arri front cap, and a PStechnik rear PL cap. I can also provide an extra rear black rubber cap if needed. As you can see the lens is in great condition, I can ship it to any reputable technician if you want to have it inspected. I also offer a 3-day inspection and return period, but only within Europe, returns from outside the EU would probably complicate things. I also have a 40mm in similar condition which I will list later, let me know if interested. -

Hi guys, I've just bought an Alexa, and want a personal Wireless Follow Focus system to use when needed (and when production can't afford to shell out for a proper Preston or current WFF). Since the camera has the Plus module on it, I figured I might as well try and find an Arri system that would be compatible with it, and I've stumbled across the old Arri "MkII" system, which comprises of: - WFU-1 Iris / Focus Unit - WZU-1 Zoom Control - WMU-1 Transmitter - URM-1 Receiver - UMC-1 Universal Motor Control - 3x Lens Motors Obviously, they're pretty old school nowadays, and I've struggled to find much in the way of user reviews/commentary online. So I was wondering if anyone could speak to the system's merits/lack-thereof? Cheers, Mark -

Hi, is anyone willing to share their knowledge on using the Arricam system of cameras? I’ll be shooting with the Arricam LT and I don’t have any experience with it (or film cameras, in general). Regarding battery solutions, the Anton Bauer Cine VCLX batteries seem to be the closest thing to the de facto standard battery for this 24V camera. And while I’m open to using a block battery, I’m curious if there are any other preferred battery solutions, especially concerning hand-held use. While I’ve heard of battery belts, I’ve never used one myself and I don’t know how comfortable I am strapping large batteries around my waist. Maybe it is a good solution though, considering the alternatives. How much wattage does the camera consume while filming at different speeds? It’s been difficult to find this information. The manual states the Power Bridgeplate is the standard plate used with this system. Will other ARRI plates, such as the BP-8 bridge plate, fit as well? The standard video assist system (IVS) operates on the aged NTSC/PAL system (and I have little hope of getting my hands on the HD-IVS). It seems the best signal output is S-Video. This isn’t an ideal connection for production use, but can anyone recommend a monitor that has an S-Video input? Or, should I just stick with the BNC Composite signal? Or, is it worth it to use a convertor box to covert the signal to SDI? Any modern-day, practical advice regarding these cameras would be very helpful. Thanks!
