Premium Member John Sprung Posted April 22, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted April 22, 2009 I'll be away from this board for a while, starting Monday. We shot some x-rays to check the progress of that C6-C7 fusion in my neck, and surprise, it turns out that one of the screws holding the metal plate in place has come about half way out. I have a CT scan this afternoon to check whether the hardware can all come out or not, and on Monday morning, I'll have a second operation to take care of whatever we find in the scan today. -- J.S. Tom Jensen
Something Sprung, huh. I will do your surgery for half of what they are charging you. Jeez man, good luck with that. Did you break your neck or something? It sounds very serious. Good thing medical technology has come as far as it has. Could you imagine this 100 years ago? Premium Member Hal Smith Posted April 22, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted April 22, 2009 Geez John, that stinks. My wife who lives with an L6-L7 fusion and a Titanium cage will be praying for you. That's good, she's a real prayer warrior, having just finished a year-long Jesuit retreat in daily life, etc., etc. She gives good prayer! Yes, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (pronounced Röntgen) discovered the X-rays in 1895, so we could have transluced you with some overdose but positively.
