Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
What is your main computer...Desktop or Laptop? I have an old desktop, but am thinking about going with laptop/s only. The laptops seem as durable as desktop when not abused. But maybe I've been lucky.
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted February 14, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted February 14, 2019 Desktop... Mostly due to thermal reasons. You can't get the same performance out of a laptop as a desktop over long term because of the thermal throttling. So yea one off tests, you can see performance but over long term, it's a huge issue. Desktop's also last longer because they're upgradable. So you can own a desktop for a longer period of time. Heck my current desktop is from 2012 and it's legit still going great. So the catch is, what do you buy. How much is your budget and what are you using it for?
