Nojus Drasutis
Hi guys, I'm looking for 800' or 1200' mags for SR3. We're planning to shoot 20 min long master shot on S16. I'm 17 and paying for this short from my own money, so cheaper is better:) Thanks P.S. I'm in Lithuania

Nojus Drasutis
I heard Kodak was making one few years ago. If not, I'll be gluing a lot :D Edited April 15, 2017 by Nojus Drąsutis
Mark Dunn
They'll usually do it as a special order, probably with a minimum- it's made in master rolls several thousand feet long. All they have to do is run off longer rolls after it's slit. Edited April 15, 2017 by Mark Dunn
Nojus Drasutis
Anyway, I'm looking 800' and 1200' mags for sale:) thanks to all for the replies N
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted April 15, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted April 15, 2017 I know of some 800ft mags for XTR's for sale, but for SR's they're pretty rare. I've talked personally with Kodak about making special batches, but they said unless it's a big order, they won't do it. Most content that looks like a single take, is generally cut somewhere and you never notice.
Nojus Drasutis
Yes, I know, but our film would be something more in Belà Tar style. Slow dolly shot through a house. I'll be gluing two- three 400' stocks if necessary:) There's one here: http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail02.asp?productID=278&Cat=3&Cat2=38 But sadly not in my price range, I saw one sold in ebay for 150 usd... Missed it.
Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted April 15, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted April 15, 2017 Well, if you want something ultra rare, you'll be paying for it through the nose. Also, making your own 1200ft loads, isn't very smart. I can't imagine glue or tape being very smart on camera negative.
John Salim
....that's a good price for such a rare and 'specialist' magazine, but I certainly wouldn't want to run spliced raw stock through a camera. Spliced film going through a processor would come apart and be disastrous. You'd have to tell the lab it's spliced, and then you'd lose some heads and tails anyway. Nojus Drasutis
Yes, sorry, I missed this reply. Thanks! I think I'll try to arrange something. If not - digital is the answer. Thank you all for your replies Nojus Edited April 15, 2017 by Nojus Drąsutis
