  1. Hey guys, I recently purchased an Arri SR2 Highspeed and have some questions regarding a connector I found on my camera that is not on the manual nor in any other SR2 I've ever used. The cover on it says F9 and it has 7 pins on top and 7 holes on the bottom half of it. Any ideas on what this is? Cheers! Manuel
  2. We continue to restore the old movie cameras of the Second World War and shoot videos reminiscent of newsreels of the 1940s on them. We use the American Bell & Howell Eyemo cameras and the German hand crank camera Askania 1930s. We shoot 35 mm black-and-white Russian film Tasma and German AFFA aerial photograph. Soon we will repair the Arriflex 35 camera of the Third Reich and remove its historical reconstruction WWII. Watch our "military" video review

  4. Hello! This is my first post here on the forum and I would like to begin it by thanking everyone who posts on here; this forum has been a huge source of information for me, basically like the film school I couldn't afford, so yeah thanks everyone. I just recently acquired an Arri 2c, one that was advertised by the seller as a high speed model. It has the tachometer that reads up to 80fps, but from doing research on this forum and others, I understand that it is possible to attach that tach to a non high speed model. I've read that the only fool-proof way of determining if the camera is an
  5. Hi there, I am new here, hello! 🙂My first question is about an Arriflex SR2 mag I just bought. I have a SR2 that was moified for S16 long time ago. Now I would like to know what modification I would need to do to use a normal SR mag with my camera. Is it only the pressure plate or are there any other modifications that I need to go through? I read somewhere that the tunnels must be widened but I dont really see why because the material is the same, isn't it? 🙂 Yours, D.C.
  6. Hey! Looking up to buy 2 or 3 perforation conversion kit for Arriflex 235. Thanks, Nauris.
  7. Hi, Thank you for all the answers of my last topic. Now I have a question regarding the viewfinder of my SR2. There are some dirty spots in the frame when I look through it. The lens is clean so it must be the viewfinder. How can I clean it? Can I open / unscrew it from the body? Any recommendations? 🙂 Thanks for reading, D.C.
  8. Is it possible to power an ARRI SR I/II with 14.8v gold mount batteries? I understand the voltage would need to be converted to a regulated 12v, but even then is it posing a risk? I happened upon this plate: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/839205-REG/Movecam_MOV_306_0208_BATTERY_BRACKET_FOR_GOLD.html I would have to use a 3-pin male LEMO to 4-pin XLR cable to take advantage of the regulated 12v output. Is that possible, or would it pose problems? Any insight would be dearly appreciated, as I'm quite uneducated when it comes to power supplies. Thank you!
  9. Hi everybody, here is Luca from Milano, Italy. How are you? I'm a camera technician and I've bought an Arriflex 16BL on Ebay (camera and 1 mag from UK, 2 mag and Angenieux 10x12 with blimp from DE) that I want to completely refurbishing, both lens and camera. The camera was ok, I've tested with a battery and everything was working good, and not too noisy! The lens unfortunately has lots of fungus inside, so I'm gong to completely restore it. I'm writing here because maybe (MAYBE..) it could be interesting for someone, or if someone need explications about the camera, or even if s
  10. I'm selling a few arriflex 16st cameras and lenses. Both cameras are working well, one looking a little worn but again, it does work well. 12-120 Angenieux zoom, 17.5-70 Angenieux zoom type L4, 10mm Cinegon, 16mm cine-xenon, 25mm, cine-xenon. no cables or batteries are included. I'm located in France and so think about shipping costs and exchange rates when considering anything here. Prices are in Euros and paypal is accepted. I'm open to any sort of configuration you would like...body only, body and zoom, primes only (although I'd rather sell all three primes as a set). One camera has
  11. $2,500 O.B.O. Great 4x5.65 lightweight studio (swing-away) matte box for sale. In good condition. I know a few top-level ACs who prefer the MB-19 over the MB-18 or MB-20. This can mount on 15mm LWS rods, or with the included adapter, on 19mm studio rods. If you want to use with 15mm studio rods, you'd just need to pick up that adapter: K2.66040.0. Includes two 4x5.65 filter trays and it can hold a 138mm filter in the rear. Front horizontal tray holds either a 4x4 or 4x5.65 filter and rear vertical 4x5.65 filter tray is rotatable, great for positioning a grad filter just right on the ho

    Arri 35 IIC

Hi I just purchased an arri 35mm IIC, I’m new to using it I’m use to using 16mm. It has bncr mount. I need help understanding camera as in gates, what lens is good to use, or how to operate. Also what accessories do I need for it in order to shoot short films and longer features. Also does anyone know where to convert to pl mount.

  15. Hi everyone I’m selling a great working arriflex 16s with accessories. The camera comes with Paris angineux 12-120mm zoom lens, battery charge belt, 2 mag, torque motor, lens filters, matte box, shoulder strap, two motors, and lens cap. Camera was serviced, lubed and cleaned a month ago. I’m selling camera for $1550 or best offer.
  16. https://www.ebay.com/itm/293635925639 Purchased last year and never tested it because the cost of testing and potentially fixing at the time would have been too high. I've since purchased a Super 16mm camera. The seller who sold this to me sold it to me as a "IIC", however upon inspection, this looks to be a standard model IIB as the ground glass is not removable and the shutter is not variable. Standard IIC's aren't variable shutter, however all IICs have a removable ground glass, this one does not so it is a IIB. The rotary shutter on this particular model is a "butterfly
  17. $400 OBO. This mount adapter lets you mount an older Arri Standard mount or Arri Bayonet mount lens on a PL mount camera. This is the much more complex type with two spring-loaded push buttons for release, and is compatible with lenses like old Cooke Speed Panchros in Arri Standard mount. Those lenses need the holding tab that this adapter has to let you focus. Very easy to pop lenses in and out by just pressing two the side buttons. Les Bosher was known for making these, although I'm not sure who made this one. I bought this one from Visual Products about 9 years ago. Duclos sells
  18. Hi there, I believe that this is probably something that has been discussed before. But I hope there are some new things that can be brought up with this question. I have an upcoming project in the fall, and the director and I have decided that we want to have the anamorphic look for a short we will be making. Now the flares are not the most important thing, but rather the vast image that we are going for. The problem is how to achieve it. First idea would be to use my own S16 Eclair ACL, with an PL adapter, and we were considering renting pure 1.33x anamorphics. But as far as I know, the o
  19. Hi I just recently purchased an arriflex 16st, it works amazing. it has a mag with zoom lens. I’m new to using this camera. Does anyone know how to use shutter and aperture. Also is their any places to find accessories.
  20. I recently bought an Arri 16S and it arrived earlier today. The camera seems to be fine (as far as I can tell) except for the on/off switch. The on switch presses down and clicks into place, however when I press the 'off' switch, the on switch doesn't spring back up. It works only if I hold down the 'off' switch and manually pull the on switch back into place. (Please let me know if I'm not being clear enough) Unfortunately I don't have a motor for the camera yet, so I can't test how it works with power. So does anyone know what the problem is? Does it need some oil for the 'on'
  21. What filmed the WW II? German Arriflex 35 movie camera VS Soviet camera Eyemo copy KC-50 - review Germany against USSR and USA in WW2... On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory, we restored two military movie cameras - the German Arriflex 35 and the Soviet KC-50 - a copy of the USA 35 mm Bell & Howell Eyemo movie camera. In the review of the "Panorama Camera" we will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of our and enemy cinema equipment, and recall the Soviet front-line cameramen and their feat. English subtitle included.
  22. I have for sale four Arri groundglasses. These are standard glasses, so from memory will fit a IIC or a 35III - but others might be able to put me straight on that. They're also great for many viewfinders, including the Kish UDF. 1. 'TV' (4:3) with mounting bracket. In excellent condition. 2. Another 4:3, no mounting bracket, some pencil marks where it has been marked up in a mystery ratio. Tiny mark bottom right, very clean otherwise. 3. 1:1.85, marked up to 16:9 (?) A chip on one side from bad handling, but it doesn't encroach into the picture area. Good for a viewfinder, or g
  23. Two ground glasses for sale. For use with an Arri 2C, 3C, 35-3 film cameras or Kish UDF or other Dir/Find that uses this type of ground glass. $200 for both OR: $150 for the one with the metal handle (in slightly nicer condition) with Academy 1.85 and what looks like Academy 4x3 (common sides). In blue ARRI jewel case. $100 for the one without handle (a couple of tiny blemishes, visible in photos), marked with Academy 1.85 and a "TV" that is not common sides or top/bottom. The 1.85 marking is the dominant marking on this one. Both have tiny chips outside of the picture area. Both
