Might get hit with a hundred "no" answers, but worth a shot.

If I could somehow figure out a hack or upgrade to get this to record in 422 to the internal card slot my life would be complete.

...Also these cameras are under $1000 now.

No.

but the footage i've seen recorded internally, with cinegamma PP, looks really good. Just expose properly and don't do any crazy grades. (and don't shoot Slog!)

maybe try bolting a blackmagic hyperdeck shuttle to the camera? not sure if the sdi record signal will send out to the hyperdeck but its worth a try

I suggest you get a Samurai Blade or a BMD VA.

I love mine. Paid a grand for a barely used model with the slog 444 upgrade. External recorder is no biggie. I use older nikon glass and love it!

If the FS700 wasn't so cheap now, I'd be quite tempted to buy a 2nd F3 as I've really enjoyed my years with my F3, but instead I'm toying with the idea of a FS700 maybe?

FS700 still has a lot of things going for it. Find me another camera that'll do 240 frames at 4K raw. Of course, for that you need the extremely expensive offboard recorder and its extremely expensive Sony media, but people are starting to offload them as packages, so...
