Katy Perry sets a record with her new hit for a music clip that was created entirely on Super 8.https://www.super8.tv/en/video/most-...ic-video-ever/

Andries Molenaar
Ever, from a videoclipwebsite, that is. Others have used Super-8 too and had their clips broadcast the old way through television. And had 100-millions of viewers wordl-wide 🙂
Shawn Sagady
They did some serious work to degrain and clean up that footage. Makes me wonder why bother with 8. Could have shot 16 and had more control on the look. I guess because they can.

Standard S8 may look good for family S8 material but Perry must please more people 🙂
Nicholas Kovats
Such sonic commercial dreck. I would rather listen and watch badly synced post dubbed German punk Super 8 circa 1983.

Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted May 20, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted May 20, 2020 Some Super 8 cameras actually have tripod mounts that work great on wide shots. Just sayin'. Very nice framing on the closeups and mid-shots.

Heck at least a monopod! Easy to carry one of those hiking. Unfortunately for most, shaking hand held footage = Super 8

I get there was a lot of constraint on the shoot and they were just embracing the simplicity of 8mm. But would love to see 8mm with some production value
