  1. Yes greenscreen and S16/16 mm still dont get on very well , if you used 64d you are going to need one hell of amount of . light ! What sort of size green screen we talking about here ?
  2. think you are pushing it a bit there , i am talking about people making a living writing waffle about a film maker with little general following by the great unwashed . i can spend as much or little time looking at a painting when i have seen enough i move on. stuck in a cinema with a numb bum , its not the same . john.
  3. Matthew no hate or malice just dont like his films ,over here the British Film Institute have spent years publishing endless drivel about his movies , tend to do that thing when they dont know what the fu** its all about so must be "art " john.

  7. I hope he has fun making his home movies , keeps taking the drugs . One of the most overated film makers of all time . Apart from" Elephant Man " his films suck .

I started my career in 1968 , at a small doco , medical ad ,film company and 7255 was the stock they usedd , it was never used for projection but printed onto either a Kodachrome print stock or some sort of shitty Ektachrome print stock ,then 7252 replaced it . I remember shooting a hip replacement operation , where i had to use so much light with awful reveral stock 25asa ,that the blood started steaming , yuk , they wernt the days . although i did learn how never to light anything in my life again like that .
  9. Never heard of the term [timed still] but if you mean getting the perfect picture yes .
  10. Timing mean s grading each scene for exposure or colour correction .
  11. You said "Mr Limpet " was shot on sound stage with a tank? . So not blue natural daylight around ! so you just shot it with tungsten light and stock , big lamps and try and make it look like the sun ,or overcast or what ever , colour temp is correct . nothing to compare it with ,i.e no daylight blue , sorry a bit rambling answer hope some of it makes sense.
  12. Most important to me is to get enough light on to the neg ,go for the Super speeds ,i have used them many times still love them ,go for it and push it 2/3 stop if you need to . Have fun.

  19. There are to many films shot with a 2c to mention , lots shot with it in its blimp , including "Clockwork Orange ", " Help" , cant go on just so many . John Holland .
